I forget how this fight goes but he's surprisingly confident despite going up against a chick with a flying spear and dude who can bat away bullets. Like what can his little fire cleaver really do?
I always liked Uloy. He was always level headed. He goes from some glorified cigarette lighter to the new captain instantly. Like he gets over the fact the king is fake so quickly he uses it his advantage. Driven and focused characters always make for good antagonists because you can't help but admire their competency without them being straight up monsters
It makes you wonder why Uloy didn't fight Agni himself previously if he is that skilled.

Spoilers.
The fact that these new characters will never be given any proper development and end up completely wasted or disposed is all the evidence you needed Fujimoto was never planning much further ahead or had to rush to wrap up the story. Damn shame about what's her name bikini slut.
Since the story likes to borrow so many cinematic tropes, in cinematic terms they would be wasted screen time that would have never made into the theatrical release.
