6/8 Indifferent towards Diebuster and hated Space Dandy. Not sure whether to watch or read Bakuman.

But I just watched my 19th anime now have a new all time favorite!

So true no wonder it hit a nerve

if you consider ~50k mal users popular then there are 1,770 popular completed anime, counting shows, ovas and movies
death note at 1,935,930 users and garo vanishing line at 51,785 users would both be considered popular. I can kind of see where you're coming from since everyone and their mom knows gundam, yet gundam 079 has just 83,480 users, but it is still a bit off

7/8 diebuster is so much worse than gunbuster. you get a point for picking fma '03 over brotherhood. never watched bakuman but I enjoyed shirobako and am loving the shit out of eizouken so who knows maybe I would enjoy it too

6/9 HxH 2011 is unwatchable, madoka is bad, bakemonogatari I dislike but some of the following seaons I enjoyed more. code geass is really really bad, but in a so bad it's good way for me

0/1 really disliked mirai nikki (i do wanna get around to watching the yamato remakes though)
4/6 recently watched kaiji, it was fun
4/4 great taste user, although i've yet to get around to a lot of these

6/8 Not big on Gundam but War in the Pocket was pretty decent. Utena was too irritating for me although I love the movie.

While it is not popular, I wouldn't say it's unpopular either. In comparison, an anime like Giant Robo only has 19k users on MAL.

Baya perfectly illustrates Kyoto Animation's creative bankrupcy. Imagine making a short, and what you end up producing is so void of value it manages to be almost as bad as Miyazaki's short films.

While I generally agree people don't really have a schedule for these threads and I assume that OP just made one because he felt like it. If we actually had a 3x3 thread every day for a longer period of time, yes, that would be too much. But two threads back to back after a week without one is nothing to freak out over.

Terra is great but looks terrible visually thanks to the CG and lack of shading.

Yes, it diverged from the manga, but still delivered on its core themes and acually has a better use of the christian lore/symbolism, which don't really have any purpose in the manga. Not sure why people are so quick to judge shows as bad just because they end up being different from the source material.

I agree, the visuals are the weakest point of Toward the Terra.

that's why I recommended them. because he was lamenting that nobody else was doing it. if he claimed that gangutsou was unique in its visual direction I would have recommended different older shows
