I want to do unspeakable thing to captain.
Dungeon Meshi 62

>Captain got himself a lamia gf
I'm not even a monstergirl-fag but damn what a chad.
>bottom right panel
Why is my dick hard now wtf
Dammit I'm about to go to sleep. There's a lot to unpack here.
idk the full context but on the bottom left panel
>From then on, for the sake of slaying demons,
>he ate meals despite having no appetite, and stayed alive despite having no will to.
So apparently the dungeon fed on and devoured away Misurn's wants and desires. Misurn's now numb to hunger and hence requires someone else to keep watch on his nutrition intake.
jesus christ how horrifying
look at that swole shirtless elf though
Panel here clarifies the timeline. Three days after Misurn and Kabru fell down to the sixth floor, the main party was dealing with the shapeshifter. I can't say for sure if they're ahead though, since it appears that these two stayed there for four more days, until the other Canaries managed to make contact with them.
so the winged lion is also a demon! giving false promises to trapped the "dungeon master" inside and feast on their dreams and desires!
>>The dungeon feeds on you
Truly, we are the dungeon meshi
Literally a leftover. His eyes used to be light too.
>there are people that thought the elves weren't in the right the whole time
en.m.wikipedia.org
>Vapula (or Naphula) is a powerful Great Duchess of Hell that commands thirty-six legions of demons. She teaches philosophy, mechanics, and sciences. Vapula is depicted as a griffin-winged lion.
Shit! It's all a ruse!
Jesus Christ that spread is cool.
Biggest takeaway:
>Dungeons were built to contain the demons from getting out
>Demon can grants wishes and devour on desires
>lord of dungeons got chosen based on the strength of their desires
>Once to they have devoured enough desires they can break free
>Kabru: what happened if someone who really really likes monsters become the lord of dungeon?
>Misurn: I think it is better to kill him before he become one
So the winged lion was a liar interested mostly in its own survival more than anything else.
Happy captain is fucking cute.
Motherfucking Boer with his 5 goat legs.
Before I was under the impression that the winged lion is neither benevolent nor harmful, just doing what a dungeon is supposed to do, like following his program. But if he's indeed an actual demon that feeds on desires, then yep, he's the evil.
It's probably not quite that straightforward.
Kui Ryoko has improved so much since she started the manga
>Black magic isn't evil, said Marcylle
>Dungeons literally run on demons
I'm sure Laius and Farlyn are wholesome enough to manage the desires of the dungeon.
Laios got rushed hard
They just have to teach the dungeons to not eat too much. Follow sustainable eating habits instead of depleting their food source like some gluttonous moron.
>teaching the dungeon a proper balanced diet
The true chosen one will rise up when the world needs him!
>Entire series up to now has been mostly about interacting responsibly with dungeons to obtain benefits from it without letting it get out of hand or destroying it
>Dungeon has an active agenda that makes this impossible because they're interested in becoming a huge demon after eating enough desires
What a shame. Do dungeons really need to have brains? Maybe they could lobotomize it.
they're just misunderstood mortally impaired creatures, don't discriminate
Winged lion wants a body to be able to try Senshi's cooking.
It's that time of the month, huh.
Give lamia gf. So the ears weren't cut for punishment, it was the dungeon.
>the Golden city inhabitants lost their desire for food
Oh no, It checks out!
:3
They likely didn't even know their winged lion was the cause of their loss of appetite. He's only willing to let them go now that he has nothing more to take from them. He allowed the king to go to the surface and lure in future dungeon masters to replenish its food source.
>Elves were in the right all along
Fuck this elf propaganda.
Why shouldn't dungeons feed on its inhabitants? It's not like the people don't get anything in exchange. It's a give and take relationship.
From the perspective of the inhabitants and adventurers that shit's a big red flag.
How do I attain this level of worldbuilding and storytelling bros?
I wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't consider demons inherently evil, even if it is convention to do so in the setting.
They are literally demons wanting to break free from the dungeon.
>headless bodies with the eyes gouged out
my brain hearts
>"Dungeons" were actual dungeons for goetia demons
What a twist. How did they even get them there to begin with? Maybe it's that "other dimension" Marcille talked about when discussing where dark magic gets its energy from.
The dungeon master got already beaten by the canaries once, so awakened winged Lion Is gonna be the final Boss?
Dungeon Meshi will end with Laius eating the winged lion itself, screencap this
The finale will be a feast on the winged lion by everyone.
>As the Beast frees itself from its subterranean prison, the island is shrouded in black clouds of darkness blotting out the sky and snuffing out the sun
>Even the most daring of heroes feel dread washes over them as the cries of the damned resonate from below, soon to be merged with the screams of the living
>And Lo, amongst the death and the despair, a lone voice rises
I wonder how this one tastes !
That or the bottom floor itself is the final boss and they stop it from truly awakening.
I don't like this twist at all.
>Demon eats everyone's desires and awakens
>They kill it but start to lament how they'll be like captain cripple for the rest of their lives
>Laius and co theorize that maybe eating the demon will give them back their eaten desires
>Cue everyone on the island cringing from the thought of eating a monster
In the dwarven elevator they suggest to feast togheter on the chimera to save Farlyn, I still believe that's gonna happen.
Yeah it sort of throws a wrench into any sort of message Senshi and Laius were giving. Then again it's not like they were omniscient and could ever have suspected such a thing. It's a shame their theories just aren't viable and this was all for nothing.
>Lamia GF
How can the Canaries even compete?
sounds familiar
Maybe dungeons can have personalities just like people and the winged lion isn't an asshole like goat boy and the canaries are just biased.
So what's with this twist? Captain is secretly a __male_?
Ooooh, so that's why people who died in the dungeon can be revived.
They make "contract" with the demon, so their soul are trapped in the dungeon.
If the winged lion was really evil, then why did it create a room for Kabru and Misurn if they're clearly against him? All the rooms with winged lion decorations have been implied to be created by his limited power.
He a good boy he dindu nuffin we need money for them programs
No that's explicitly because of the sorcerer's spell. Although the spell might be demonic in nature.
No, we already know souls are chained to the body.
He just follow desires.
Oh shit. The demon apologists are already here.
But he goes out of his way to warn Laius about the Canaries. Are you telling me he literally can't help himself to automatically create rooms even if they aid a party that wants to kill him?
But black magic can't be evil, it's just misunderstood and labeled like that because some idiot blew themselves up one time or something.
If Laius dream was achievable Ryoko wouldn't have spoiled It before the finale
That makes him stronger. So yeah. I guess he can't help it.
/r/ing the memento pic with the lion shopped in.
>nonono pls stop I am cooming!!!
Dungeons can also occur naturally.
They had that project in magic school where they make a mini dungeon just by putting magic plants in a jar and Farlin showed Marcille the bat guano cave she found.
I hope the lion's last words are about how he wanted to have a meal with everyone.
I feel like it needlessly contradicts the moral ambiguity of the earlier story if the dungeons exist for literal demons from hell to feast upon people's souls.
So "Dungeon Meshi" or "Dungeon Meals" can be interpreted as "Food in/from the Dungeon", as well as "Food for the Dungeon".
