>30) Kimetsu no Yaiba artbook - 49,092/822,665
I laugh at those who mocked The Croc's art.

>bnha hasn't been anywhere close to the top for months
what changed?

it's a databook not an art book

turns out characters and plot are really important to a setting and you can't just vomit a bunch of bullshit and expect it to succeed

KNY craze ended.
And new volume + movie.

man, I'm kinda sick of KnY, don't get me wrong but, if it wasn't there, these 2 titles would have been 4 and 5 respectively
it kinda overshadows almost everything
people sometime buy what's popular, which makes the fact that charts are drowning in KnY sad for any mangaka hoping their comic catches the public's attention

>KNY craze ended.
but user it reached 2.5 million again this last week

corona-chan. people have nothing to do

more like slowed down
it'll pick up speed when the movie releases

It's honestly depressing how it's shitting on bnha just because of the fujos. It was on track to be a new big three before demon slayer came along and ruined everything

It still did in 5 days what the previous did in 9.
I guess we still have to wait for week 2 to see the real growth of this volume.

>it'll pick up speed when the movie releases
here's hoping it's trash so the fujos leave

That's not how it works. Popular things are good because when people rush to get popular thing they get other things as well.

except demon slayer is stealing sales from actually good manga

I didn't specify to diminish it, just to give the full picture

>stealing sales
>good manga
neither of these are true

Why are you baiting so much?

it works that way, but you kinda need to hear about other manga to pick them up, and Yaiba is making so much noise ot's hard to hear about anything else

But user mha fanbase are also fujos

I don't think there are many nips who look at oricon to decide what to buy. I presume it's mostly the opposite, where fans check out the series they like.

not really. it doesn't steal the sales. people who don't buy whatever manga not gonna buy it anyway whether Kimetsu exist or not. what it does is stealing the spot in oricon chart. it mainly affects people who care for specific series.

You're an idiot. I say this as a CSM bro. Don't envy the success of others.

you seem to underestimate oricon, it makes charts for every medium
and while yes, word of mouth can be effective, charts are too
charts are also a big factor in what news program and variety shows talk about

I'm the CSM bro that made this and I don't think it's stealing anything from others
if anything, CSM is destined to be niche given the gore, nudity, and darker tones

MHA was never on track to be a new big 3, the first big drop came with volume 23 which came out in May, before the KnY craze.
And besides, MHA also has a big fujo fanbase, the most popular ship is literally a fujo ship.

What point are you trying to make here?

dead

It's already pretty mainstream
it runs in WSJ, i mean, come on

Kimetsu no Yaiba
Just dividing that guy's picture for clarity.

Haikyuu!!

nah. the actual niche series is dr.stone. gore and nudity are that niche for jump or Nip consumers

Ah, I was more wondering what I was supposed to take away from these pics.

LOL why are you speaking as if there's that many new manga nowadays that stood a chance of capturing public attention? Stuff like Spy x Family sells well and get the public attention in the mist of the KNY hype, cause it is actually good.

My Hero Academia

aren't

The Promised Neverland

lmao

Yuuna

I'm always really surprised how little hxh sold with two anime adaptations and like three decades of sales

Bokuben

Attached: Oricon WNL.png (945x779, 117.35K)

niche as in will never capture the popularity of Boku no Hero or Neverland, but hopefully I'm wrong, wouldn't hurt to see a good manga get the attention it deserves

Nevermind, I'm dumb, I didn't read the original post and couldn't quite get what I was looking at, MB.

at this point they're the volume Oda buys to fool the public it's still popular

can someone explain these numbers to me
i am legally dumb

Dr. Stone

That's all for the first page and WSJ's core titles. The others are currently unranked in Oricon.
Don't really want to do the other four pages, at least not right now, maybe later. There's stuff like Kingdom, Kaguya and SnK if you're curious.

Left = this week's sales, right = total sales
Numbers are identical if the volumes released this week

thank you

You lose so much momentum with a hiatus

will cinemas even be open amidst the virus outbreak in Japan?

you're delusional if you think the virus will be around in 2-3 months, let alone 6
