Chapter 42, The Next Shooting Star
Dispersion doesn't means purely death. One can form and become a mental/autonomous body. And in turn became information/data for Fudo.
Hachi came back and turned the Kakkus into a copy of himself. Ata finishes them off and secretly does a "Silent Slash".
Ata clashes with Hachi. Hachi realized Ata's real target and notices the timing of "Silent Slash".
Hachi went and protect Ann and got fatally damaged.
Hachi is slowly dispersing again.
Hachi recalls his promises to Ann, his promises to his dad and all of his connections. And he vows to protect them all.
His "Courage/Heroism" stats change to inifinity.

This didn't feel earn at all
it really does feel like it's ending, the MC meeting the creator of the universe and getting some strange powerup wouldn't happen this early in the series, this is like Endgame material.
Its absolutely being rushed. Didn't Kishi say it would be bare minimum 8 volumes with possibly more if it just blew up? Whats it on now like fucking 5?
It was obvious it was axed when Ata came back and Nanashi was hastily written back into the finale.
Oh, so that's why a new Kubo work is possibly going to be announced soon. They put their hope into Kishimoto, but his new work massively flopped. So now they're gonna see what they can do with Kubo.
He joked he had 10 volumes planned, the joke being that Naruto was only supposed to be 30. So it would have likely been a ~25 volume series if it was successful.
>a new Kubo work is possibly going to be announced soon.
Kek
This could have been good if it started with the same low stakes Naruto had and had him climb his way to the top. Why did he have to go the cheap route and take out the planet busting shit so early?
Art aside, this manga is so full of mistakes it doesn't even feel it's the same mangaka who created early Naruto.
>samurai 8 gets axed
>kubo gets a new serialization
It's possible. Yuuna/Bokuben are gonna end this year as well so I wouldn't be surprised if Komi returned for another romcom.
Naruto was supposed to be 15 IIRC
>it doesn't even feel it's the same editor who created early Naruto
ftfy
So how's it doing on sales honestly?
Is it that bad?
A lot what written in early!Naruto is thanks to the editor at the time.
Sure user sure
>komi
>another harem to replace harem
for the love of god please no
It's a massive flop, user. The only reason it's still being serialized is cause of Kishimoto's name, but that's literally it.
the nips didn't like it, and honestly I've read worse series. I guess WSJ was expecting another major hit like Naruto.
There's no shortage of haremfags in this world.
Yea, I can't remember a single series actually surviving while doing this bad by volume 4.
It's basically Naruto's ending rehashed.
Are you ready for Samurai 9, the monthly sequel following the adventures of Hachimaru's pupil, Nanamaru? (Written and illustrated by different mangaka)
its decreasing in sales as volumes are released
always bet on Kubo.
why the fuck is his dad still there
didn't he die
Holy shit is this really Kubo?
I wish that was Kubo. Id have more faith in him not dying during this new serialization.
the adventures of Hachimaru's and Ann's son, while Hachimaru becomes a workaholic.
because h-particles or some stuff, it just a memories powerup user.
So the shitfest with demigod reincarnation and evil moon ayy lmao out of nowhere were unrestrained Kishimoto? How disappointing.
He's still alive in the heart
kek
This chapter should complete volume five, unless they're planning to make it longer by a few chapters. Assuming that volume 9 is standard length, chapter 51 would complete volume 6. Given that Ata is just the servant of the big bad, I wouldn't be surprised if the series gets a volume 6. Ending at chapter 51 would have it ending right at the end of the next likely round of cancellation/serialization.
The last volumes usually get more chapters don't they?
Nips and chinks are saying it could end in 1 to 3 chapters more.
It could go either way. It just depends on whether Kishi wants Hachi to face the true big bad or not.
The last volumes can get more chapters, but it's not usual. They usually plan better than to need to do that. Ending at chapter 51, or ending a few chapters before that and padding volume 6 with one of Kishi's one-shots likely makes more sense for them than over cramming volume 5.
Maybe they don't wanna risk it since this shit is selling lower and lower every volume.
It's absent from Issue 18 (2 weeks from now), I know it's Kishimoto but I doubt he'd get a vacation from a series that is clearly getting the axe. I think it's pretty safe to say that next chapter is the last one.
I still think it would be too abrupt to end it as soon as next week, but it's an interesting theory.
A new project has already been announced.
Where exactly are people getting this "It'll be absent" stuff from anyways? Because from what you're saying, it'll be absent in issues #17 and #18. While is the last page of issue #16, and neither it, nor text spoilers have indicated it's the last page of the series. It'd be rather strange to go on a 2 week hiatus to come back with only one final chapter.
To be fair, a lot of axed series end 'abruptly'. You could be right too, it's just that in terms of logistics it wouldn't make much sense to give Kishimoto a vacation if you're planning on ending the series soon anyways, imho. But maybe Kishimoto just has that kind of pull and can do whatever.
Basically, mangaplus had ID placeholders up to issue 18 IIRC, and S8 was the only one to have one less ID, which means it was going to be on break on an issue within 15-18. Since it hasn't been mentioned yet you can discard it being on break for issue 17, which would leave issue 18 as the only remaining possibility for a break.
All I remember is this author comment. I don't know where everyone's getting that specific date.
Please do not insult GO ACE
nanashi best girl
So in other words it's an educated guess, and the people who have stated specific issues over the last couple weeks have been working from a distorted understanding of the guess. Okay.
Well I guess we'll see next week what happens. It can probably manage a rushed ending next week if need be, but personally I suspect it'll end up being one more volume for an ending that's still rushed, but more conclusive.
LMFAO YOU CANT MAKE THIS SHIT UP.
More or less yeah, it doesn't necessarily have to be the end chapter, it's just that people assume it is because a dying series doesn't usually get breaks. But this is Kishimoto after all so that might just not mean anything at all, maybe he just has that pull or maybe this is jump's way of apologising.
Either way, we'll know soon enough which one it is.
Greetings fellow four eyes trion body sword user, may I borrow that in my fight against Ninomiya?
what went wrong
Kishimoto doesn't know how to write and they gave him a newbie editor.
The yes man
Isn't the story about gathering 8 fated samurai so they can open some box and save the world? What happened to those guys?
Story only had enough time to introduce 5.
Then they could get Hachimaru's convenient lost hermanos to replace three of them
> Los hermanos die one chapter getting some screentime.
what did Kishi meant by this?
He didn't like the final arc of Shokugeki no Soma
