I'm actually not a huge fan of the GSC Kiss-Shot. I don't know how the base is supposed to work, her face is weird and hard to light, and the part where she grabs the sword is super busy.

Bottom shelf is basically all prize figs. Some of these I wanted to put up on the top shelf because they have good designs, but the quality difference is too obvious when you place them right next to each other.

I also got a cover for it, so I can have my parents over or really make sure the figs are protected from UV light if I go away for a week.

It's a really good size. I dislike noticeable spotlights like that, but I assume they can be screwed out. Did the cover come with it?

For what I paid the lighting options are a bit disappointing, but the side light bulbs should come out fairly easily. I got the cover separately from a custom cover service.

The storage shelf in the bottom is actually really nice. It would be super hard to see the figs on the bottom without it and I can keep extra risers and cleaning supplies in there.
The locks feel kinda cheap though. I even had to nudge the one for the glass door back into position since it slid around during shipping.

I'm thinking of ordering some figures for the first time in 5 years, do you fellas think COVID can cause disruptions in mail services by the time they arrive? My country's mail system is notoriously bad as is, so I'm expecting any kind of delivery to take at least a month if not two. We only have 20 or so confirmed cases of the virus though.

The virus gives people a really bad flu. Whether or not your mail gets disrupted depends on a different virus called stupid, panicky people. So judge by how good/bad your country is at keeping their shit straight.

Shipping coming out of Japan is far less at-risk than shipping coming out of mainland Asia. I'd expect any kind of cargo carrier coming from there to have an easier time with customs than one from China. Commerce is the lifeblood of any nation so they'll want to keep shit moving as efficiently as possible.

I'm not worried about the parcel's departure, I'm worried because the mail services might shut down by the time it arrives. Although I just checked Poste Italiane twitter and they have an announcement stating they'll stay functional and keep providing guaranteed services across the country. The post staying open in a country where all non-essential businesses close gives me some hope.

You will, same way everyone gets the flu every flu season. People don't seem to understand that same as influenza that's just gonna be another virus that exists now and that we're gonna develop regular treatments for. The whole reason public events get shut down isn't because the virus is so bad, it's because healthcare facilities run near capacity by default, and can't handle a sudden spike, so there's efforts to slow the spread, but it's never gonna magically stop existing.

Yeah I guess people will get used to it, especially when a vaccine becomes available, but for now it's still novel and pretty dangerous.
