My main concern is with season 2. Let's be real here. This show caused one heck of a scene. I'm sure it is the most infamous show of this season. And all advertisement is good advertisement. From what I see, those who love it, love it alot, so obviously the sales won't be the worst (I myself will help out alot). Also I'm sure the manga went from a super niche thing, to a well known property. Meaning Amahara-sensei now has alot more buyers. I'd call all that a success. So my prediction is that we'll get a season 2 for sure. These days, even the most mediocre stuff somehow gets a second season, so I don't see why this should be the exception. Maybe we'll even get an adaptation of one of his other works in the meantime?

Assuming Funi were able to look this far ahead they may have seen the episode where Piltia 'gets raped' by Elza. Even if Piltia was acting for a movie, the scene effectively played out as a childlike character getting raped, which would be enough to make a lot of western companies bail.
