not saying all,and obviously there are gimmick stands, like the darby brothers, (but even then he could win through sheer intimidation) but stands like hierophant green, silver chariot, sex pistols, stone free and even arguably star platinum (definitely pre za warudo). what makes it worse is that usually the stand user is the vulnerable element in jojo but in this case the person himself is the danger/ combat element.
Fun fact: Yujiro Hanma would body most stand users
Fun Fact: FUCK YUJIRO HANMA

>Dragging a masterpiece like Baki though the utterly revolting filth that is powerlever contests
Fuck you, even if you're anime-only. Go back to reading one piece or fire punch.
>pointing out that yujiro could bodymost characters of a show where their supernatural powers can make them borderline otherworldly is power leveling.
righto mate.
>Fuck you, even if you're anime-only. Go back to reading one piece or fire punch.
anime and manga and i've never read one piece, don't even know what fire punch is.
Powerlevel contests are:
>this character from my manga is stronger than the characters from your manga!
It's especially popular among shonenpedros, though I think it's less popular since this shitty One punch man manga got popular.
It's shit. It doesn't actually mean anything, nor relates to what makes the series good.
fire punch is kino, nigger
>shonen jump garbage
>kino
Fuck right off, go post your meme smile somewhere else.
i'm not trying to say x character is better than y, it's pointless to argue that since different characters have different universe so they have different powerscales in their stories, (and what's really important is how and interesting and likeable the character is, not how much they give a shonen power up hard-on.)
But it's fun to compare, hence the point of this thread, (the idea of a monster like yujiro just bodying and destroying a stand user in series where stands are made to be the ultimate fighting power and previous fighting power like ripple and being a vampire have been made is pretty fun to think about, as well as how two different of a power types would compare when put against each other.)
unfortunately some shonen always have to jump in and ruin these types of threads.
>made obsolete
Imagine getting emotional about the half assed joke from the OP, total autism.
one piece is kino and anti-powerlevels though
JoJo is one of the most anti-powerlevel manga ever, though
This
Most Stands are around the speed of light (Stated multiple times) so they would body Yujiro once they got in their range
Exept haki is literaly powerlevel bs
most stands have been shown to have limited attributes in speed power range etc. hance why star platinum being able to catch a bullet at point blank is impressive.
in Hanayama Gaiden, Hanayama was shown to be able to one she a state of the art fully armoured truck with one punch, when hanayama in his prime confonted yujiro and punched him in the face he didn't even get a scratch.
So given that most stands don't have infinte power in their punches and so forth I don't think they would do much to hurt him. ( you could make the argument that less power based stands like sticky fingers could pose a threat you'd have to look at it on a case by case basis.)
also where have they been stated to be moving at the speed of light?
>being this mad over a comment
>Fire Punch
>Shonen Jump
Are you retarded? It was a monthly seinen manga. Baki on the other hand is published in a weekly Shonen magazine.
>haki = powerlevel
>Luffy beat someone with better haki than him
they're all scaled from this one page
that is despite being unable to deflect a couple knives thrown at him, mind you.
>b-but they were thrown at lighspeed bro
Mate even your thread idea is shitty and wrong. Yujiro, due to coming from a real-world setting , is powerless against a number of stands.
Even weird stands who didn't do much like The Sun, or Cheap Trick would send him to hell.
Can he defeat Gold Experience Requiem?
Every shonen where fights don't have realistic damage automatically devolves into powerlevel shit. Especially superpower shit like One piece, fire punch, toriko etc.
>this looks good to baki fags
Not to mention baki is peak powerlevel faggotry
Why is his chin all bumpy?
This is obviously the fight to make
Had you functioning eyes you'd be able to see the anatomy is flawless but volontarly exaggerated for aesthetics. Also characters being stronger or weaker than others isn't powerlevel shit you dumb faggot.
>Also characters being stronger or weaker than others isn't powerlevel shit
This is the very definition of power levels.
seething
This is just utter nonsense, on a basic, logical level. This man cannot touch or hurt stands. All a stand user has to do is pick him up and let him hover in the air and he could do nothing.
No that wouldn't make sense. Otherwise even real-life boxing federations would count as powerlevel shit. I don't claim to have any more knowledge than you, but it has to specifically mean the series like Dragon Ball where all fights are actually just a number game without regards to technique, wits, injuries, strength and weaknesses.
>No, it looks like shit on purpose bro!!! That means it looks good!!!
Baki is full of powerlevels. There arent any numbers but tiers clearly exist.
>dude its meant to be badly drawn lmao
Cope
Retard grasping at straws. The artstyle clearly looks peculiar, so appreciating it is a matter of taste. I had to start from the first Grappler Baki manga to ease into it, but now it's one of my favorites.
What's objective however, is that his anatomy, his knowledge of martial arts and his sense of movement are all top tier.
Tiers exist, but not for numerical reasons. Fights clearly actually look somewhat like fights, not number comparison.
>Every shonen where fights don't have realistic damage automatically devolves into powerlevel shit
Except one piece
>randoms anons are coping at the fact baki is badly drawn
lmao
>
>Fights clearly actually look somewhat like fights, not number comparison.
Lower powerlevel fighters literally can't damage stronger ones because their defense stat is too high.
i've read that translation of jotaros stand, star platinum going faster than the light is referring to za warudo, also see the part where speed is ranked A, that means that not all stands are star platinum level.
to say that all stands are faster than the speed of light because zarudo exists is borderline retarded.
>All a stand user has to do is pick him up and let him hover in the air and he could do nothing.
that would be pretty funny to see desu.
Yujiro showing all badass ass and intimidating then suddenly he's just floating up in the air not knowing what's going on.
the one thing that bothers me with that is that if a stand is making contact with you and affecting you with it's contact shouldn't you be able to affect it? I mean shouldn't the tangibility of a stand be a two way street?
Though having read baki I feel like he would pull of some weird ass martial arts technique to throw his momentum and get of the stands grip, (depending on who where talking about here.) plus I don't think they'd be able to hold him forever, sooner or later they'd get tired and once they'd let their stand go they'd be a goner, guess it depends on their strength and staying power.
I can't fuckin wait untill season 2 bros. we'll probably get a release date by the end of the month right?
>Though having read baki I feel like he would pull of some weird ass martial arts technique to throw his momentum and get of the stands grip
The imagination techniques Baki characters use are basically weak reality warping since the things they imagine can interact with physical objects.
is that......a middle aged japanese man.......WITH WEAPONS?........AAAAAAAAAA SHIKI HELP ME HE THREW A CIGARETTE AT ME FASTER THAN I COULD USE MY MARBLE PHANTASM
Yujiro would counter by manifesting the ultimate stand: himself.
And it wouldn't even be the first time.
I'm looking forward to seeing the kaku kaioh and yujiro fight animated, It's been a while since I they did a pretty good job with the convicts arc so i've got high expectations.
Also good to have something to refer to people with, the manga a big dive for someone to get into but when I showed the 2018 anime to my brother he got pretty into it.
I feel like a minority in this way but I honestly loved the pocket fighting fight even more with oliva. that gimmick was so cool to read. also really excited for the jack vs ali.
but yeah I agree with you on the refer thing. I have a baki shirt and I was suprised how many people recognized it and have actually watched the show. glad its getting popular in the west
I was gonna mention the oliva fight but I coudn't rmember the details of it.
There's something that's just satisfying about watching a powerhouse like oliva or jack power through an opponent like with jack vs motobe.
I forgot jack vs ali was in the china vs the world arc, was glad to see ali jr get what he deserved, never liked the character, I get what itagaki was going for by trying to show the virtues of boxing in the context of the idea "real no rules fighting." ( I mean most people just use their hands in a street fight and boxing is a relly solid skill to learn for self defence.) but I think ali jr wasn't the right character to portray it.
It's strange to me how even though he likes boxing so much he tends to shun muay thai, even though he's also written short manga series about it.
Yujiro is the strongest character from any manga that doesn't include retarded manga BS like One Piece... of shit or Narutoid
Fite me
he is indeed the strongest character from any manga that doesn't have characters stronger than him
I think the whole point of the ali arc was pointing out that not being ready to die and treating fighting as a sport makes you inherently weaker than you could be. it sort of sets up the baki yujiro confrontation by showing baki is now willing to kill and doesn't fear being killed.
I don't consider characters like Luffy and Joseph Joestar to be strong
I consider them to be poorly written asspulls that reply on ruleless magic because the author cannot into fighting
and I don't consider Yujiro to be strong so we're at an impasse
As opposed to Yujiro who's the strongest because... he's the strongest. And he makes le funni face.
>As opposed to Yujiro who's the strongest because... he's the strongest. And he makes le funni face.
He's the strongest because 99.99% of his life is dedicated to combat or grooming his son Baki to be a good fight
The rest of his life is pooping
Meanwhile Luffy ate duh majick froot and it made him majeekulll!!!
Losing a fight?
Just scream really loudly then talk about about friendship.
That's how fighting works
.t Shounen authors
losing a fight? just demon back bro
>yuujiro cannot see or interact with 99% of stands
>thinks he can beat a stand user in a fight regardless
peak delusion.
joseph joestar is a good example of what you get when you put a smart character together with anime-esq superpowers.
the way he uses ripple to defeat characters that thouroughly outclass him is refreshing when you consider more overpowered characters like jotaro, goku and even jonathan (winning because he's strong and believes in justice.)
the side characters in season 3 had to deal with a stand they couldn't see or interact with ( one that they would just die if they touched.) and they were still able to defeat him ( the stand user that dio turned into a vampire.)
Also even if he can't see the stand he can still kill the user, how is a stand user like survivor going to stop him? he'd just massacre everyone in his immediate vicinity till he found him.
Read Son of Ogre
I guarantee it's better than the asspull garbage you read
