Just got past the Ichigo and Gins "fight" when they arrived to SS. Cant wait to get to the TYBW arc to read it in one go and asses how good it is, since reading weekly makes everything a chore and doesnt let you invest in a story.
You can always read up to and including SS arc, and drop it afterwards if you dislike it, not like you have an obligation to finish it, although I would recomend reading at least until the end of Aizen arc (I am biased since he is my favourite character).

Its possible that Aizen himself decided to return to prison because if he would have been freed he would have nowhere to go since everyone bears a big grudge with him and he can't start anything without an army, last thing Kubo could have granted to him is fighting Yhwach alongside Ichigo but that didn't exactly happened nor him becoming Soul King and fixing Soul Society without causing more deaths.
