What did you expect from a manlet?
What's wrong with being a different height to someone else?
How the fuck did he get caught?
So much for being a genius
There's nothing morally wrong with being short, but it's heavily associated with general incompetence.
>Light is only 4'6"
I can't believe this
Citation needed
it's only true in Germanic and Anglo countries
Ever been to nihon friend?
My favorite detail is when Light's plan to have Misa kill L falls apart, then it's revealed that L had given the police orders to incarcerate Light on the spot if he ever dies of mysterious causes. It really emphasized just how stupid Light was to have almost repeated the Lind L Taylor mistake a second time.
Great execution, poor plan
He did good for a good part of it
>t. manlet projecting
Is the anime worth watching if I've read the manga already?
He’s 1.79 so 5’10 in ameriburger numbers
It’s poorly adapted after L dies but still a nice experience
The direction makes it different enough to be interesting
That can't be true.
But his execution was glorious
he didn't swim so well
His plan was pure retardation. He gets the power to kill anyone on the planet, without any fear of consequences, and he decides that the biggest problems in society are petty criminals, almost all of which have already been caught and are in prison? Does he think he's living in a cartoon?
wait don't they use centimeters?
>poor execution
WRONG
Light's keikaku was doori
Well then ,what kind of person you would kill using note for ur justice?
Wait what? 5'6?
According to the Death Note wiki he's 5'10 and a half.
He always seemed pretty tall for a Jap.
Wasn't the idea to cause fear of death among potential lawbreakers?
It would only deter sane people I would assume, but better than nothing.
>almost all of which have already been caught and are in prison
I really glossed over this for years, yeah holy fuck what a waste of time
read the height chart again
This is actually official art, it turns out, why would the Japanese use weird Yank units?
I know L's name was revealed in the guidebook but do we actually find out L's real name in the manga?
>L's name was revealed in the guidebook
What was it?
his name seems to be L Lawliet
anime.stackexchange.com
Yes.
The soundtrack is amazing. The voice acting is flawless even the dub .
I'd drop it after ep 25 though
Wasn't that a psuedonym?
Is he a literal midget?
I would have expected him to be at least 6' 1", maybe a bit taller even.
I guess standards are much lower in japan
lol he looks taller in the anime
Well it was actually worse than nothing because he fucked up, failed, and died killing several innocent people in the process
He's supposed to be 5'10.5 according to the wiki.
There must be a reversed equivalent of the square-cube law that prevents organisms that small from functioning
people making a buck on big boy problems and all of their families and associates
when investing into being a shitter becomes a life hazard you'd see nice drop in overall shittery. Also murder everythign china untill its current structure totally collapses. Ez.
but he did do that in the end, just with extra steps
1.79 is supposedly somewhat tall in Japan.
Funny, I'm the same height in the UK and I feel like a literal midget
Why is there death note thread every single day? The one shot is already over last month.
>What did you expect from a manlet?
Not much. Now a man like Judge Holden from Blood Meridian, he's a true intellectual. Anime when?
I've come to the conclusion that the constant Death Note threads are because one to a few people like being on Yas Forums but have only properly seen DN and won't put in the effort to watch or read anything else.
I have a similar idea about Bleach threads.
Oh he was a manlet
Any dictator or warlord for starters.
I think it has to do with the new one shot being the first experience with DN for many. They read it and the manga afterwards.
When Light first meets Ryuk, Light says that by that point he had already killed all the biggest and most dangerous criminals.
He could have stopped right there as Kira, but he didn't.
>I think it has to do with the new one shot being the first experience with DN for many
What a horrifying, yet probably accurate, idea.
The death penalty already doesn't stop people from committing crimes, why would killing criminals via a magic book make any differece
because the writing is absolute garbage, but people will defend regardless for "weeb cred"
>will never get another Free season.
He was Japanese. sure, American Kira would go after The Man, European Kira would go after corrupt politicians, but in Japanese mindset going after criminals made the most sense. read about their retarded justice system to try and understand Japanese mentality
Because Light has the sense of justice of a 5 year old who thinks he will make world peace by killing pocket snatchers.
The three Kiras should meet up and try to kill each other.
Because unlike death penalty, money can't save you from death note
in general there's a lot of wasted potential with the series, and especially the one shot focusing on another genius high schooler. have Dath Note Parts similiar to Jojo, set in different times with different protaginists. what happens when the one to pick the death note is a corrupt Frank Underwood type politician who just wants more power? or a degenrate hobo junkie who only uses it to get the next score and it doesn't even come to his mind to use it for something greater? or what if the fucking Pope had one? so much potential there
Book can kill you instantly instead of waiting, with hope, on death row for years on end with free food.
What a faggot, he had the power to kill anyone and still somehow loses.
>literally ignore the investigation instead of playing stupid games
>win
woah, that was complicated
Organized crime as we know it would collapse and cartels would lose all their power and influence, the death note would make previously untouchable criminals touchable and that would have a major impact on crime as gangs fall apart. It'd create a domino effect and that's without even touching small time criminals.
