I remember picking some random episodes to watch a few years ago and it felt slow as fuck.
Imo a good anime can elevate a manga, which isn't the case with One Piece.

I want to read the manga but I'm scared the most iconic moments won't have a strong impact like in the anime, because the dub and music are great (I'm currently at fishman island. I'd either switch to the manga or read the whole thing out of curiosity). To anyone who tried both, is it a problem or am I just worrying about nothing?
