Pretty boring fucking turn of events.

While I kind of like the idea of someone losing their memories but they know they've lost them and the thought process that Nagai goes through here to retrieve them some of these recent chapters have felt kind of pointless.

I think the idea is this isn't the original Nagai anymore. So, any victory is meritless; the real Nagai lost to Satou.

Was the memory loss important in any way?
Did I miss something?

The user above attempts to get some meaning out of it, but it beats me.
>p030-031
If they feel pointless, that's because they ARE pointless. This has been dragged out WAY too fucking long

I think it shows Nagai's innate resolve, that even after temporarily losing all his growth he's still dedicated enough to bite the bullet. But it also feels unnecessary to stall things here.
>p034 (end)
Based professor of deathwish.
I was wrong. Nagai clearly still has the cuts on his face he sustained before hitting his head on the ground, meaning that he didn't die. He just dropped really fucking hard, apparently, and that gave him amnesia.
Oh man do I have blue balls.
This is the most exhaustive resolution I've ever had to wait for
>quality dropping exponentially with every passing chapter
Why are the japanese so astronomically bad at ending their series?
What was the fucking point of him losing his memories? This chapter was fucking pointless.
I mean, dorohedoro also dragged me by the nose for... a couple years past its supposed "end" date, but fuck, I'd forgotten how a release like this one felt knowing the next one was a month or more away.
It probably means to establish that Satou is now off-guard because he doesn't realize that Kei didn't "die". Uncharacteristic of Satou, but that's the only rational answer.
what happened to the super illegal nation ender anti-inmortal squad that everyone in power was shilling before?
They got buried in rubble if I remember correctly.
They're openly using semiautomatic rifles in the streets to fight Satou's army of ghosts.
oh my god no! think of the laws and ethics!
It's Japan. Displaying to the world that they have a ready-to-go international murderforce would not be a good idea.
So anons, is this manga actually good? I remember seeing a bit about it during the early Tokyo Ghoul craze, but we all know how TG went down in the end.
But later I saw these really beautiful pages from Ajin.
Does the story live up to the art?
They didn't lose immediately to Sato like a lot of people thought they would. They're pretty competent. I don't remember anywhere saying they were "nation ending" unless that's just part of them being illegal. Like the other user said they're helping civilians get away from the double flood.
It's kind of dragging currently but it's still pretty cool for most of its run. I don't know if I'd say the story is "good" but it's a competent action manga plot. It has cool action.
Do you think it will be finished eventually?
It seems like it's in its final arc but because of chapters like the one posted in this thread it's hard to tell when it might end. I really can't think of how they'd continue the story normally in the current situation if the culmination of the last several chapters leads to nothing.
Its pretty good, the story is not deep in any way but it sure is fun
Satou having already destroyed the entire national government and military infrastructure of Japan makes it pretty hard to imagine the stakes of catching him going any higher. It either ends here or ends with him fighting the entire planet, which is too far.
I think it's fun. It's a bit schlocky, which is partially balanced by the protagonist being a cold-bastard (not a full blown edgelord, more a cold fish), and the art is really, really solid.
It can get a bit plot-armor prone in parts but it's still pretty good imo.
