They should have just aged up the character to their middle school years. I'm older now, and honestly 11 year old characters is too childish for me and maybe even for the target audience. Should have made them look more mature like the 02 /tamers / frontier designs.

What's the point of the bottom tight drawing? I get the others are to maybe give reference to the animators if she changes clothes. But that one...

-Taichi: every single bit of it is worse, can't even single out anything to mock because it's all bad, overall makes him look younger which is a bad move for the leader
-Yamato: looks like a complete homo, what the fuck is that handkerchief/buff on his wrist??

-Sora: it's just different, don't love or hate it.
-Izumi: top is much better, bottom (namely those goofy ass shoes) is much worse, so they balance out in the end
-Jou: top is slightly better, bottom is worse (those capris almost bumped him down to "worse" for me)

-Hikari: best re-design of the lot, looks great
-Mimi: improved in every way, especially like the dress length change and nixing the gloves
-Takeru: improved in every way, glad that weird blue (stone?) on his hat is gone, always thought it looked weird
