so it's no surprise it has so much care put into it. i hope they give part 6 the justice is deserves but it's not the directors favorite part so it might not.

I think it's because Japanese people don't care for old western settings. I think as of yet, part 7 is definitely Araki's magnum opus. Part 8 could potentially hit higher highs, but it's not quite as consistent as part 7.

Part 7 wasn't in a kid's magazine so there isn't going to be much nostalgia for it.

it's been a while since i've read 6, and i understand the criticisms, but god i love the ending and can't wait for it to be animated. i hope they don't skip too much because all of the buildup would be worth it
7 and 8 are the best parts. part 5 is more colorful and in your face with it being in italy, the character designs, stands, quirky characters but 7 is just overall a better story with better characters. part 7 might be perceived better had it not been an old western style story. italy is definitely a more exciting setting, especially for non americans

not him, but the part 1 adaption was alright, they just removed a few things but it had pretty good animation
part 2 anime was better than the manga
part 3 was a solid adaption, but the art and pacing in the manga was better
part 4 has the worst adaption. art is vastly superior in the manga
part 5 is fairly solid, but it has several problems like trish looking awful in almost every shot

i dont really know what it is, but anime josuke feels different from manga josuke. feels like manga josuke was more a delinquent troublemaker with a heart of gold, while anime josuke was just that but toned down

The lack-luster composition and animation wouldn't bother me as much if they at least stuck with the art-style. I know anime don't look quite like the manga but they really changed up the character designs hard, totally different feel.
Also I love the diamond/kite noses in DiU and they rounded them out too much.
