Next chapter begins like one of those insta-mindbreak doujins and the crew has already been defeated by Drakken again.
It's shown Rebecca has been trying over and over again and they fail everytime, eventually a mind broken Rebecca convinces them to just leave after beating the slime + 2 other dudes.
Next arc is running/hiding from Drakken and finding new allies + training.

Technically they already could only fully take the ship since there were only androids there. They can't disable shiki and the rest through hacking, and Pino can just disable the ship as well.

Shiki is still basically the mental equivalent of Goku from the beginning of Dragonball. He sees new shit and learns how to use it and such, but he's still constantly full of wonder about everything and super naive. the only real differences are he now has a SUPER drive to make friends and he obviously likes seeing hot girls do hot things.

She probably jobbed just because the story demanded that every single character jobbed. Though the difference is probably that Hermit handles the security like any normal programmer, from the perspective of an outsider (firewall, virus scanners,,,) while the opponent became a sentient virus that could easily avoid those less intelligent automated tools (once he was already inside the systems) and therefore never having to face Hermit directly.
