It's hard to explain but basically Saber dodged it with a high ass luck stat which in-universe grants the ability to overturn fate and causality. It didn't miss, technically. It still damaged her gravely. But it's causality-based effect of piercing the heart of it's targets was mitigated by Saber's causality-based defense in the form of 'luck'.

They actually made Cu so broken that they had to layer multiple nerfs on him just to give the main characters a chance.
