You know whats actually the most retarded thing you can do? Label the subtitle tracks not by what language they will display but with what audio track they're meant to be used with.

Once I saw a release which had 2 subtitle tracks. One was labeled "English" and the other "Japanese" and instead of the english track containing english subtitles and the japanese track containing japanese subtitles the english track was empty and the japanese track contained the english subtitltes. If that isn't the most retarded backwards way of thinking about things then I don't know what is.

What's there to explain? The retail sources they're encoding from have English as the default audio track and only a handful of autists get triggered by it.

It's great improvement. I'd say 3.0 is great improvement over 2.0, other channels might or might not be good depending on material and quality of production.
