To be fair lancer is pretty popular mostly because he's surprisingly not a total shitter in a class that is famously known for being jobber shits. Also mind you in one route he directly kills kotomine off, which makes powerlevel fags hype, especially if they are zerofags as well.

She was more popular than Sakura in the very first poll, but then she dropped like a rock after Hollow Ataraxia thoroughly imouto-zoned her. People probably mainly voted for her because they hoped they'd get an Ilya route out of it, then gave up after seeing that Nasu didn't give a shit about fulfilling that wish.
