Was it good? How does it compare to more recent shounen like Demon Slayer?

idk why don't you try reading it or watching it to find out
Strong start but it fizzles out over time. For me it's after they free the goyim from the jew wizards that the series really falls off for me.
Im reading it right now, user. Just wanted to have a discussion about it.
It was really good for a long time but I think around the time everyone went vs the big magic school everything started getting miserable. You know that kind of power creep where everyone can suddenly fly and summon crazy armor and shit? Not a big fan of the later parts.
it was a fun adventure series that evoked the feeling of a dungeon crawler vidya that turned into a complete clusterfuck once it started to explore the background of the world
also the author is probably a harry potter fangirl so it was doomed from the start
Kimetsu no Yaiba you mean?
It starts off small but gets a lot bigger than Kimetsu ever likely will. There's an extended flashback arc that goes on for too long and the finale is pretty weak, but aside from that it's quite a good series.
Best female villain ever.
I liked edgebros arc.
It's pure kino
It starts slow with some simple dungeon crawl shit, but as the story goes on the plot is expanded into a great political game of deception and intrigue which is really good.
After the time skip the story takes a metaphysical direction and explores its themes in a new light while at the same time introducing new thought provoking ideas.
That's fucking hot, is her series any good?
The debates in philosophy and way of life is one of the more entertaining aspect of this manga. I also like how each of the djinns drawing power from one of the eight elements but each of them uses it differently even if they share the same element.
Also every good character is hot as fuck and I want to fuck them all.
Mixed bag.
Anime was decent. Started the manga after that thinking it was a comfy adventure story.
Only when he started the power up training camp did it dawn on me that it was battle shounen shit. Then it all made sense why everything was complete garbage.
It was a great series. It had really good world building and always maintained that sense of adventure.
Ok guys this looks like a good series, should I watch the anime or read the manga?
The fans and editors kill the manga and everybody blames the author
>Check dub
>Goi is translated as 'magicless'
cheeky heebs trying to sweep the author calling them out under the rug.
Does this have good shotas? If so, in starting it.
Read the fucking mango. What are you, a pleb?
It starts weak and is worth reading during the second half. Cares a lot about metaphysics and freedom. Alibaba only gets better after he turns into a golem.
She uses her feet a LOT. So, for you it might be irrelevant that it’s also really fun.
You have convinced me.
The shota in the OP is the MC and is a horny cunt who loves big boobs.
started out great but kinda fell apart at the seams. the world, characters and powers itself weren't the problem. the main problem was the over arching plot that seems to have too grand of a scale to make any logical sense. gurren lagann fans will be like, it's great, loved it, they could've gone further. but I would not agree.
I'm sure that just like all shonen it's shit.
redpilled
Magi has a good anime
>Magi has an OKAY anime
Fixed
A nice ED, at least.
Only fix is third season
Yeah, that the point I dropped it too
Remember Sinbad hijacking the series and becoming a god and then 7 Sinbad fights in a row for the finale?
Ren Kouha a cute, unfortunately he doesn't appear much.
Kill yourself retard.
oy vey! upset schlomo?
Sinbad was the fucking worst, a literal mary sue.
Oh my 60 billion! Don't think about it goy!
go back
I really enjoyed season 2. Also, Mogamett did nothing wrong.
youtube.com
You mean Sinbad hijacking the series and becoming a god and then 7 Sinbad fights in a row for the finale and then he concedes to the MC only to be taken over by the actual big bad but he managed to recover himself again because he's Sinbad and then he and the big bad keep taking turns being god like they're playing uno or some shit until the MCs get to fix everything back to normal except not really because magic is now gone?
Very based arc though
Fuck Jew wizards
The final arc was a retarded clusterfuck, probably because the manga was getting axed due to most fans being filtered by Alma Torran
Him returning to the black rukh despite having a justified motive and supposed redemption before dying is a pretty nice touch.
>Alma Torran
Brilliant idea, But not executed very well. There had to have been another way to tell the story without a brick of flashback right in the middle of the last arc
Jews are never truly justified
This is their punishment for killing Jesus
The manga was good all the way until the final arc, which felt kinda dragged out but was still good. I probably favor it a lot because it's one of the first long manga that I read, but it's still kino
It's only shonenshit for the first 150 chapters. Then it turns into a political manga, then one on economy and international trade. The last arc is about interdimensional communication.
I meant that as in "you can't get an easy way out after committing a bunch of stupid shit just because you said you're sorry." Then again, fucking Ithnan returned to the white rukh, so who the fuck even knows anymore.
Sinbad? Who's that? He sounds like a huge loser.
Author starts sucking a certain character off about halfway through and derails the series for it.
Yep. Drops off hard at this point. Just finish the series where the anime ends.
this holy shit
you'd miss the kou civila war which is absolutely kino though
it's good until they decide to go against sinbad at the end
I mean, he had committed literal genocide.
I think magi was really good for a shounen, and I’ve always been a fan of the author’s art style too. Series goes well for the majority of it but then gets an inexplicably botched ending, which sucks. Probably the fault of editors meddling or something.
The series really went off the deep end at that point and then David becomes god and they god swap infinitely
>then 7 Sinbad fights in a row for the finale?
You just gave yourself away, that never happened, we only got two fights and the third was interrupted.
>Brilliant idea, But not executed very well. There had to have been another way to tell the story without a brick of flashback right in the middle of the last arc
THAT WAS THE BEST AND MOST IMPORTANT ARC IN THE WHOLE MANGA AND IT GOT FUCKING RUINED BECAUSE THE FANS ARE A BUNCH OF SHIPPERFAGS
>Probably the fault of editors meddling or something.
the editors and the fans boycott the author it was very fucking sad (that was the reason she change magazines)
Stop bumping this shit thread
>Stop bumping this shit thread
bump
This is what really brought things down for me too. I adored the show until fucking Sinbad, it went from great to (fine).
The show would have been 10x better if Sinbad was a hot female like the author intended
Alibaba became hella based after spending time on his field trip
>would have been 10x better if Sinbad was a hot female
God I hate retarded cum brains
