EDs are almost always budget-tier. They're rarely on par with the opening and sometimes they're just panning over still images.

I pretty much lost interest when it was announced to be 3D and dropped it after the first episode since it looked worse than the trailer (which is pretty obvious since they can just cherrypick the cuts) and I didn't like the voices and OST.

Theres a par and animation in these eds is sub.
Panning stills can be good if you invest in the art quality.

It's improved a lot from ep 1 and has whole segments (like backstories) done in traditional animation.

The characters themselves are plenty likeable. At least in the manga, I haven't been watching the anime so I dunno if they're any different there.
Anons here wouldn't have seethed so comically hard at the lack of romance in the end if they didn't care for any of the characters.

It had a satisfying conclusion though. Kaiman solved the mystery of his existence and found a place where he feels he belongs, the rest of the cast similarly went through complete enough arcs too. Shippers got mad but if you're familiar with pretty much any fanbase you'll know that there's no pleasing them anyway.

The characters openly mention that they're the most important person each other's lives, solved the mysteries of the plot and found their place in the story's setting (which happens to be by said character's side), be mad that there wasn't a melodramatic high school romcom confession scene or whatever it was you were expecting if you want but don't say that the story didn't have a satisfying conclusion, it resolved everything it started.
