On one hand I kind of wish the Waseda crush had just remained a joke where she's completely oblivious to all of her preferences pointing to him as I feel that's funnier.

On the other hand this chapter had Otass, Ota in a towel and Ota in the bath. I don't quite know if it balances out but it's nice nonetheless.

The author has confirmed that Ota is based on her and Waseda is based on a real-life person who as of a couple years ago, she is actually married to so it makes sense why the crush plot marched on lol

How does the live-action compare to the anime?

Only saw parts of one episode, but Loli's Granny looks different from what I'd imagine, and Loli herself doesn't look like much of a Loli. Live-action Majime and Live-action Majo are really cute, though.

I saw one screencap that seemed like they adapt the chapter where Majo helps Yamai with her toothache so presumably it the people hating it don't have the weird dislike of Majo the anime production crew had. Wonder if it has the weird obsession with Majime and Lily the anime had though.

Guess not, I assumed they had. Whatever more Nono chapters, more Sayuri chapters, hopefully less Nene chapters. Bino's good at writing comedy but some of her characters don't always hit (Nene in Uchuu Toka, Majime, Lily and Nora in JoshiMuda).
