Yumeko's actress plays her like she has autism, so it's a unique take on the character. Everybody over-acts (Japanese stage actors can't act). Suzui's actor is extremely good at following the director's commands at portraying the character that the production went with - it's just that the net result of this is that he is so unfathomably irritating that every time Suzui is on the screen you want to kill yourself.

The only reason you should watch it is if you want to watch the movie because there is some minimal setup in the second season (and if you want to acquaint yourself with the cast); because the movie itself is nice; it's based on one of the tie-in light novels and Yumeko goes into full detective mode (among other things - shots fired at Kaiji).

The movie has subs now btw, I can post it if you want.
