Even so, I don't think anything will come from it. Seems like a lot of Mangaka try to do the same sort of series but it never really captures quite the same audience, best thing to do in my opinion is to try a completely different genre.
I've already seen Kubo's shonen battle manga, I'd like to see something fresh honestly. And jump approves loads of shit that get axed. Will I be forced to chew on this as well?
I hope I'm wrong and it's good but Kubo wasn't a good writer anyway and fucked up his health with the schedule so I'm assuming this series will be poor eventually.

It depends on what the editor suggest them to do, just because it's kubo doesn't mean it has to do same things. The one shots that serve as the pilot for planned serialization aren't released as publicly as BtW was. So if he really didn't plan for it to be serialized and it is getting serialized then he will approach it as such now and make the changes that he needs to. Bleach was not an independent one-shot. He did plan do serialize it.
