if kaido were size in , he'd make it to about here. he'd be about half the height he is in that panel. this leads the reader to believe he's smaller than big mom when they're around the same height in actuality.

kaido has been wildly inconsistent height wise in this arc. his height looks like he's about 2.5x the height of the guy with the black cape leaning over luffy, and that guy's normal size.

Mihawk > Ryuma > Oden

Oden was incredibly strong but never awakened a black blade. Mihawk has and is the only known character alive right now that has a black blade. Ryuma also had a black blade named shusui.

Hitetsu was confident that Zoro could turn Enma into a black blade. He also stated Zoro could probably turn wado ichimonji into a black blade as well.

We know having a black blade isn't just having permanent armanent haki on a blade. Zoro cut monet with Shusui (a black blade) and she didn't get hurt.

He's not as big as you say in your pic otherwise Momo would be way smaller compared to him. Given that Momo is a little less than Luffy's height and that Kaido is the size of roughly six Momos in your pic, Kaido here is pretty consistent with . It really looks like his torso ate up some of his legs.
But I agree that the panel of him being close to BM is ridiculous. He shouldn't be near her height.

i tried to grab all of the panels where big mom and kaido were both standing. big mom's only half stood up in the second panel, but you can see that when she and kaido are both standing they're roughly the same height.

i actually do think kaido should be near big mom's height. if i were to change the panel in i'd shorten his legs slightly and increase the width of this torso and legs. here i'd increase his total size by like, 0.25x. make him approximately 1.25x the height he already is here and he's fine. he looks too short in and too tall/thin in . the OP panel could be justified by saying it was 20 years ago though, he hadn't started bulking like a madman yet.

Oda has never been consistent about heights; see the page where Mihawk, Doffy, and Boa were all 3x larger than a random marine.
A character's height is essentially whatever Oda thinks looks best for the panel he wants to draw. When characters are supposed to look cool or intimdating, they'll often grow way taller. Don't think about it that hard.

Typically i would be the kind of person people would call an oda cocksucker. Tons hated the post time skip arcs but i didnt think they were that bad. Wano had "good" parts. Some backstory that we've been waiting ages for. Wano is decent on its own but its not one piece anymore. Its actually the worst arc. So much hype for nothing. This arc is total bullshit. I was always excited for every chapter week by week. Reading these chapters makes me care less and less. If anyone disagrees i would really like to see why. I dont wanna drop this series cause ive been reading it for more than 10 years but right now i cant see a reason anymore.
