She's a fuzzy lil exposition ball with secrets she hasn't revealed yet. And just important details she probably doesn't know are important (say... the date she volunteered for example) which could potentially be revelatory.
Plus she's a camera for bonk droid. Pretty important as a walking explanation for him catching up with them later or whatever with full knowledge of their adventures (and their scientific relevance).
AND she can see the force field and still has a walkie-talkie for amplifying Reg's battle potential against abyssal creatures, which seems like it should continue to be useful even against critters she's unfamiliar with, or simply for investigating the force field itself or helping Riko not turn into chewing gum.

I kind of hate the village but at least it seems like it'll end with us learning something fundamental about how the Abyss functions. It's given us a tonne of data so far, we're just missing a hint or two to connect the dots. So that's something to look forward to.
It'd be a lot of good speculation fuel too if these threads didn't have some overwhelmingly spergy spergs policing the fun.

Antagonist =/= Villain
He's the antagonist because his ideals are conflicting with the protagonists. He did what he believed was right, and the main gang don't agree with what he did. He did give the people a place to live, but he did a lot of horrible shit to do it. Veko wants peace, Faputa wants blood, and Wazukyan wants Faputa. He's absolutely the antagonist.
