What I wish is that the anime does tell the whole story, from the beginning to the end. I'm fine if they take some liberties and shorten some arcs, make anime original content, put in some plot twists that differ from the original manga story.
But it should ultimately end with Fly defeating the final bad boss, and not stopping midway in the story, like the old anime adaptation did one or two decades ago.

The manga is consistently good so no arc really stand out. I guess I enjoyedmore the ones where Pop showed his spine, but I don't think they were better than the rest.

The Baran arc stood out to me the most but I agree, pretty much all of them had good character development for someone, some fun moments and neat battles.
Pop vs. Sigma is definitely one of the more insane battles, but that's not saying much because almost any battle with Pop in the focus ends up in some kind of craziness.

I would say that although it is cliched the quality of the dialogue is incredible, and even though few people died the sheer rawness of the battles really helped to make things tense for the characters.
Getting to the part where Baran died in front of Dai really hurt, and this manga excelled in showing the emotional pain of the main characters.
