Why do so many manga introduce these "cursed" forms that'll have negative side effects, only for them to get used like once or twice then never again, removing any worry about the side effects?
Akane ga kill was the only time I can remember off the top of my head that a protagonist actually repeatedly used the cursed form until there were actual effects.

Berserk is like halfway there. Immediately upon using it Guts ages visibly in his hair, but he always seems to recover from the berserker armor breaking his bones and twisting and mangling his body

He used it twice. The first time it took him a long while to recover andleft him visibly aged, and the second time he lost the sense of smell and has scars all over his body. He isn't getting used to it at all.

To be completely honest, I love Naruto's tailed beast berserker shit and can't think of anything else that truly tops it. I like how it has progression and feels genuinely increasingly dangerous until it just turns into a lame recolor version of regular Naruto
