To be fair, it was already pretty broken by then. Let's be honest, what ruined it were the sub wars, with us getting a thread for the JB release and then another thread for the Yas Forums subs out of sheer stubborness. When we started accepting the korean spoiler threads everything was pretty much a general.
But yeah, the anime did attract the haremfag crowd for some fucking reason.

I honestly think it's kinda worse, taking away so much focus from pezxKaguya interactions actually hurts it, because Ishigami's stuff just isn't nearly as good.

The only ones with normal effects are Kaguya, who is just broken, and Ishigami, who has an extremely generic card game one.

Ishigami is designed to be used on Miko for optimal effect, as her card basically becomes unstoppable.

He's developing them too slowly. Mixing episodic fluff with a developing storyline is painful.

Can we at least appreciate how surprisingly good the anime adaptation is? It's leagues above Bokuben or 5Toubun.

You say that, but Ishigami's chapters are actually fewer in number than during volume 9, most of the last chapters being focused on Kaguya's victory run. The manga still firmly puts Kaguya as the protagonist.
Even in this so called "Hayasaka arc" the point of conflict isn't Hayasaka herself but Kaguya being unwilling to let her go.

Pretty much. The love triangle has been blown out of proportion by Yas Forums. It's still a subplot.
