Next season, we're getting not just one...but TWO Doga Kobo anime!

Aren't we just blessed to live in this timeline?

For me, it's Doga Kobo. The best anime studio.

I'm looking forward to both, but I'm particularly interested in watching Sing Yesterday for Me.
It seems that that the entire story will be adapted so I can't wait to see all characters animated.

After how bland and generic KoiAsu has been so far, I'm not keeping my hopes up for the fishing one.

With the exception of Yuru Yuri none of these are even good.

That's mostly the source material's fault.

Interesting characters, an actual story, actual development, a whole myriad of different characters and a great dynamic? Damn you source material.
Still way better than Wataten, like waaaay better, quality wise Dogakobo never fails but this time the series is actually something to watch.

I'm going to kill you

Give me a fast summary of the series using your own words, the style really calls my attention.

WataTen was actually fun and likable, plus it had an interesting premise. KoiAsu is the blandest Dogakobo show since Anima Yell, and both shows felt like a case where every event and every character was copypasted from another series.

How did it even get an adaptation in the first place? Are they scraping the bottom of the barrel now and are willing to adapt anything Kirara just to keep the brand alive?

Wataten had nothing, using your own retarded "argument", for Wataten is actually accurate, all the 12 episodes are just a copypaste of the exact same situations seen in episode 1 with the only difference being 1 scene on the last episode that didn't meant anything beyond the eye-candy.so it barely counts. Now, going back to the grown up talk, Wataten was an ok show, if you liked episode 1 you will like the rest and this work for most Dogakobo shows, they are good but some of them are special, Dumbbell, Asteroid and Uzamaid had actual content to talk about unlike Wataten.

girl likes guy that doesnt like her back since he likes someone else. no one gets together by the end and its a cliffhanger.

They were planning to do swap swap at first, but that was ended by the author, so they had to find something else from the same magazine to adapt.

Pathetic, but I already noticed the kind of people that are shitting on Asteroid don't really like Dogakobo, I should just stop replying overall, I cannot stand this new age.

>be Doga Kobo
>form in 1973
>release literally nothing until 1988
>complete radio silence until 2007
What exactly did they mean by this?

>Dumbbell
>Uzamaid
Yes

>Asteroid
No, it's just the same tropes that we've seen a million times before. You got the obligatory field trip episode, the obligatory school festival episode, the obligatory "moving away" episode, the obligatory onsen episode, and so on. The characters don't really meaningfully develop apart from maybe Mira and Monroe-senpai, and even then barely. And for a show called Koisuru "Asteroid", the astronomy part more often than not gets overshadowed by the geology.

The publisher wanted to make an anime and Doga Kobo accepted to animate it. That's usually how it is.
People act like this series murdered their family, jeez. It's just a bland cgdct with some neat facts about geology or astronomy.

Okay, so they don't like Dogakodo, and what? Are you personally offended by it? I'm under no obligation to like every anime produced by a certain studio.

I think they were mostly an outsourcing studio for most of their existence. KyoAni was similar in that it was founded in the 1980s but didn't get prominent until FMP in 2003.

I'm a huge SoL and Dogakobo fan and those are part of the reason as to why I'm not enjoying it so far. Maybe I've just seen so many SoLs that they mostly feel the same now.

>the astronomy part more often than not gets overshadowed by the geology.
It was obvious this would happen since Geology is a far bigger and more useful branch of science. Astronomy is basically countries dick waving over worthless achievements since Satellites became common science.

Dogakobo went through two training arcs.

>unique field trip that we have never seen before
>unique school festival with the best coffee house ever
>"girls shouldn't take baths"
>"bruh too much rock talk"
You are not even trying anymore. I get your angle, you want to dislike it, but nothing you say really means anything, the characters have ambitions, they pursure them, they are moving on with each new episode and solve whatever life throw at them, I really want to see what they do with the club once Monroe and Sakurai, depending on how they handle it this might change to above good to great.

Shouldn't have been called Koisuru "Asteroid" then.

Is it me or do people get unusually defensive when people shit on Dogakobo shows? If you shit on any other studio's shows (apart from KyoAni) people usually don't react so angrily, but if you say anything bad about a Dogakobo show, people attack you quickly.

I for one will never enjoy the product of a studio that sources labor from china (lowercase c by design)

Nah, if you shit on Dogakobo I get it and take it, I just get mad on people shitting on Asteroid and saying that is the weakest Dogakobo at the same time while is for the very least on the top 3 of the last 5 years of Dogakobo.

I honestly had no idea they made Koihime Musou. This explains so much. God if only they made another season.

I can name three Dogakobo shows that were better than KoiAsu just from the last two years.

If you're curious you should just check it out yourself or wait for the anime.
>girl likes guy that doesnt like her back since he likes someone else.
Way to oversimplify and twist things, but okay.
>no one gets together by the end and its a cliffhanger.
The fuck are you even saying? What's the point in lying through your teeth like this?

Sure, you'll be wrong but that's at least an honest opinion I can accept.

>its a cliffhanger.
What the fuck? Why?

>male character on the right

Fucking dropped.

based!

Dogakobo forte are the romcoms anyways.

We had three simultaneous Dogakobo shows in 2017.

Because he's lying, you naive fool.
YnU has a proper ending (it was the longest Toume Kei series) and there's no cliffhanger.

this desu

t.brainlet

And even then the issue wasn't how orbits work (Newton already knew that) but how to actually get something there accurately.

But all their good romcoms have no male main characters

>Yuru Yuri
>Love Lab
>Uzamaid
>Wataten

Stoked for a fishing moe. Gonna be awesome

>Yuru Yuri
>Love Lab
>Uzamaid
>Wataten
>romcoms

>Koisuru Fossil
Meet Kako and Midori as they search for an undiscovered fossil while on the earth sciences club at school, shared with the astronomers who never shut up about stars and asteroids.

When did we switch from promo posters to heroines? Although I'm not much a fan of the Yesterday o Utatte poster.

Love Lab literal plot is to be a romcom doe.

Attached: 1459752666035.jpg (1280x2000, 1.87M)

>Toume Kei
That name is synonymous with disappointment for me
I mean Acony was great mostly, but throwing out the supernatural core of it (especially when there were other supernatural things going on) took the wind out too. Same with pic related.

Mahoromi's great though, hard to see how it would crap the bed.

i gave him a fast summary. i may be wrong since i sped through the manga a few days back after getting interested for its anime adaptation. the art sucked and the entire thing is a humourless bore.

Toume's art has this odd kind of sketchy clarity to it that I find appealing but "humorless bore" is accurate for a lot of the writing

Fuck no, two different threads where studiofags and salesfags will act retarded every week.

What are you smoking user? Their best best work is Nozaki kun and the actually good show you just listed was Love Lab.

Attached: [HorribleSubs] Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun - 03 [1080p].mkv_snapshot_06.52_[2020.01.03_06.58.44].jpg (1920x1080, 874.85K)

>Dogakobo will never return to adapting cute het romcoms
>Adapts bottom of the barrel CGDCT and drama-fueled stories

This or Himeno-chan would be perfect.

Attached: 1577661181132.jpg (900x1280, 456.31K)

But their best work is yuruyuri and their best romcom is GJ-bu

>i gave him a fast summary. i may be wrong since i sped through the manga
If you're not able to give a honest fucking summary because you skimmed through it, then just don0t post, you fool.
>the art sucked
Not even going to comment, it's worthless talking about artwork on this board.
>humourless
I don't even want to ask how you went into YnU is that's one of your complains.

Attached: 13839120646408.jpg (366x316, 23.42K)

Dogakobo will adapt Gal Gohan and it will be glorious.

Two shows means they split their workforce on both of them meaning neither will get the full attention.
It is not a good thing.
At best they will neglect one of them in favor of the other.

>Drama shit
No thanks, just give me fishing girls.

This is going to be a disappointment compared to Fishing Boys.

tsuritama is in my top 10 anime ever so im hoping this anime about girls and their big long rods can join them.

I want to smell their fishy crotches!

Why isn't 'Cute Boys Doing Cute Things' a genre? All of thse CGDCT anime are male hobbies anyway.

Nah, the manga is actually good.
