Because Is better than any other media? Name bad points anime have and it's even worse in western television or any television to be honest, I don't see how any dorama is better than a generic isekai of the season, at least anime come up with new ideas and try different things for anyone willing to look out for them, I remember having a greater time with a single episode of Hitoribocchi than Endgame, bottom line anime is just superior, before for me it used to be videogames > anime but for some reason I stopped playing games after some point, I'm still waiting for the new Outlast and Half-Life, too bad I'm too poor to get a VR.

Can't say I know anymore. I think it's because I have no other media to consume, given how the only worthwhile western animation are shorts and movie, which don't fill a lot of time.

For fun, why else? There's no higher cause. Most Western TV/movies don't interest me. I don't feel bad about it.

It started early because I was a horny boy who liked cute and sexy girls, but now it's mostly escapism. I fap to hentai manga seldomly too, but that's mostly when I'm a bit tired of 3D porn. And usually I want to watch some or other stupid fetish.

Also I don't have the attention span to watch something that lasts longer than about 20 minuter.

Nhentai is a literally a mirror of exhentai, every single gallery on the site is one that exhentai has or had at one point or another. It lacks several of the categories for galleries that exhentai has, cuts out galleries with particularly extreme tags, has no user upload feature, and no comments (which if nothing else were a source of entertainment while they were enabled). There's probably other things I'm forgetting.
The only thing the site has is that it doesn't take down Wanimagazine content, which is not something unique to nhentai.

Most importantly, images are downscaled.

Not him, but I'm glad there are no comments. Too many repetitive memes (FBI OPEN UP) or vanillafags being disgusted at anything remotely non-vanilla.

For me, modern TV series, netflix, etc. don't really entertain me. Anime can be generic, but it usually provides a wider spectrum of creativity:
>More fantastical storytelling and world-building.
>Way more fresh concepts and ideas, even if it follows a specific genre.
>On-average, better pacing between dialogue and the plot-progression of a story.
And for the cherry on top: Cute girls for me to look at for the majority of my watch-time.

The problem with exhentai though is the page loading which you have to get an attachment to fix

Comments are very useful for anthologies, as someone usually posts a list of the artists in them while linking to where their parts are. There's also the occasional translator getting your hopes up by saying they picked up something and buttblasted shitposters getting mad at random shit.
Obnoxious memeshit like what you mentioned usually gets downvoted to oblivion and hidden or deleted anyway.

I wouldn't be on Yas Forums if I didn't, there are plenty more family-friendly places in the internet I could be at if that was the case.

Outside of the occasional laugh I got at how lost some people seemed to be on nhentai, this pretty much sums it up, yes.
It is funny to see the difference in comments between the two sites sometimes though, there's some genuine effort posts on exhentai sometimes and user upload comments can actually be useful on occasion, especially for full magazine scans. I don't think I ever saw a knowledgeable or informed comment on nhentai, but I guess that speaks more to the sorts of people that use the site than anything.
I've never spent money on exhentai and I've yet to run into any problems with page loading or anything else.

At first it was for fun and because I enjoy the media. Now, I do it to numb the pain of what I've lost, as well as because I enjoy the media.

Right now there's over 1,200 results if you search "kairakuten" on nhentai, and over 600 if you search "x-eros". I assume they're not all translated, but they're still there. If they were trying to take everything down, they missed a lot of galleries.

It's free and gives me a community to ease my "social" needs.
