I do own figures and I don't hate bunny figures. I just personally think they're shallow and tasteless. Especially when the sculpt is done for fanservice purpose and it has nothing to do with how the character was represented in the show. It's just my preference. Neon Genesis Evangelion has 14 volumes in total. They are released both as single volumes and as omnibuses in English. The reason there's a 2-in-1 is because after 4 omnibuses there are only 2 volumes left. If you want to get them in English I'd recommend getting the omnibuses.
As far as I can see there are no omnibuses in Japanese, and keep in mind that CDJapan sells manga in Japanese. If that's what you want you can buy a bulk of 14 volumes.

If you send it off, absolutely. But if you do it yourself, not really. Electropolishing and plating are very simple and cheap, the most expensive bit is the con/pro-sumer power supply. And even then, if you are confident in your abilities, you can get away with a salvaged transformer, a $10 multimeter and a pc PSU. ABS electroplating is about as mundane as plumber's solder. If you are an average person who already has a 3d printer, the most expensive part of it would be a $50 for a 'lab' power supply and about $50 for a borosilicate, a pH meter, and a graduated cylinder. Also like $10 in copper and nickel.
Even if you have literally nothing, it would only cost about $160 + printer. So all-in-all under $500 or $600.

Yeah, but a micro 5 axis is at least 5 grand. And shop labor (read as: machine time for one-off's) is stupid expensive, so unless you have a friend who will let you use his machine and/or labor for free, it's going to cost more.

Uh what? Silicon molds can actually create more intricate forms than rigid ones, since you don't have to really care about drafting angles. That's why GK circles get with doing way more daring details than mass producing companies

You dont need 5 axis though, since its a mold you only need 3, and 3 axis routers are cheaper than 3d printers

Yeah no, not even close. Detailing a positive will always yield more details, polishing a convex body is far simpler than a concave one, specially when you have to reach for narrow spaces such as those created by scale figures.

No they're not. You can get an ender 3 or elegoo mars for like $200. A CNC machine capable of cutting plastic or any medium or harder wood without chattering off the table is going to run over $1000, or you can try a chink CNC that'll never work and requires you to add a serial card to your PC. Metal isn't even on the menu. And then you have to build or buy your own injection molding machine, and anything cheap enough to make for a few hundred bucks will be hand operated and only fill about a silver dollar's worth of plastic.

There are resins for resin printers made for replacement casting. And Formlabs has a resin they claim can withstand the heat and pressure of injection molding (if contained by a metal clamshell). I would just look into resin casting with silicone molds, it's by far the cheapest and least complicated

As someone who works on mold design your way of thinking made me cringe, not everything has to be 3d printed, there are far more effective ways to produce molds for mass production.

I think they must be packing their stuff as though it's all just shipping within Japan.
