OMG IS THAT A VANGUARD ETF. TIME FOR ME TO DOLLAR COST AVERAGE SO I CAN RETIRE WHEN I'M 87
Hey, that sounds like a sound advice. May I borrow it?
87? Maybe if it 100xs
Whats it like not being a JETS Chad?
Investing just 20k into a Vanguard fund for 30 years would net you $1M
I could retire on that at 55. Even better if I put in more than 20k. (Right now I save 70% of my 70k paycheck so I'm investing 35k).
I honestly plan on retiring in my mid 50s.
Exactly. With even a halfway decent job, if you don't care about yachts and lambos, it's pretty easy to go at 55. That is, if the whole thing doesn't fall apart first or hyperinflation doesn't kill your gains. And what happens if the market crashes within a year of your retirement?
stop mocking me you asshole
>I honestly plan on retiring in my mid 50s.
Good luck faggot. I retire in 5 years from LINK
make it 2 years
If you're not retired before 40 you have failed at life. Some would argue before 30 but that's a bit ambitious in my book. Definitely by 40 you should have enough money to do whatever you like and free yourself from wage slavery.
This mate. I’m making 60k and 90% of it goes to LINK. (Live with folks) YOU GUYS THINK IM PLAYIN’? You think I'm gonna miss my one shot at retirement before 30? You playin’ fool.
>30 years
I'm feeling a lot of self doubt over this post.
Maybe I should gamble my NW on shitcoins instead
im gonna kms by 50 anyway
>all these deluded faggots that think they have decades of normality left and will actually retire
>they actually think the dollar will last another 30 years
AHAHAHAHAHAHA
Godspeed fren. I only have 4000 LINK but I hope it will be enough within 5 years anyway
Otherwise I gonna kms
Yes that’s why I have some corn
You don't like Vanguard ETFs because your job doesn't pay you enough to retire. You mock them because you are poor and think you have to gamble your way to retirement because you see no way to raise your income.
>dude just save $20,000 every year for 30+ years lmao
>dude you'll always have a great job paying $70,000+
>dude just live with your parents forever so you can save 70% of your paycheck
You'll be more than fine fren.
Thanks user
>Investing just 20k into a Vanguard fund for 30 years would net you $1M
Thirty years from now, a million Federal Reserve notes won't even buy you a hamburger at Mickey D's. But one, yes just one, pre-1964 90% silver dime of constitutionally valid money will get a blowjob from a formerly well to do housewife of a DCAing salaryman and her teenage daughter within a few years.
>DON'T INVEST MORE THAN YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOSE AND REMEMBER TO REBALANCE RISKY ASSETS
these memes are funny even though Bogle heads are right
Can I invest in a 2x leverage ETF for 20 years if I'm retiring in 30?
For now. Its kind of a self fufilling prophecy everyone and their mother invests in the S&P 500 despite its lofty evaluation, and bonds are fundamentally a bad investment right now. Once boomers retire and pull some money out of the S&P we’ll slowly but surely see those companies return to a normal level and millennials will be fucked again
It's better to invest than not invest. If you think inflation is going to ruin your buying power so you shouldn't try than that's a shitty mindset. Inflation is trivial when compared to the growth of shares.
Also if all your eggs are in the crypto basket, that's fine if we're talking
My retirement plan is a bullet
Who the fuck wants to wait till they're fifty for their real life to start?
Buy ChainLink and your real life starts eoy
ChainLink is more likely to go to $100 than to $0

>(Right now I save 70% of my 70k paycheck so I'm investing 35k).
What's the point of this? I'm all for saving and investing, but you eventually get to a point where one in the hand is worth two in the bush. What's the point of living so frugally so that you'll have a bunch of extra money when you're a decrepit geriatric and the good part of your life is already over? I'm not saying you should be a nigger-rich retard spending all your money on dumb shit and living paycheck to paycheck, but too far in the other direction doesn't make sense either IMO. Don't squirrel away so much of your money that you end up living like a popper for no reason.
