Fantom at the peak of the ico got massive amount of funds. 40m. There was clearly a team member or two being Korean that was money grabbing and not to be trusted. So yeah there is some past mess. BUT Andre Cronje starting advising and really the project is fucking brilliant now. It's got more academic research than Cardano ever had and has the best scalable and fast solution in crypto. Whatever happened in the past cannot argue against the tech. Also they DO have the UAE as client as well hopefully the Central Bank of South Africa. Tech wise it's better than Hashgraph. Finality under a second. It's what wth 2.0 would love to be now.

at this point i dont think it even matters if they have big clients or not. the tokenomics are solid and the DeFi stack will have tons of usage if it works on release.
