you realize people aren't going back to sports games and movie theatres even if we took the economy off ice tomorrow right?
and you realize that even if only 1% of working age people die, the loss of investment in that human resource is way worse than the short term losses of taking a couple months off of work right?
The costs of schooling, boarding, and investing in other infrastructure systems are front loaded on a persons life. For them to die before age 45 is literally years of investment down the tube, not to mention the externalities of sudden departure and the damage to the family and social structure.
