when do u think I should get a new car? Not brand new, looking for something used(2014-2018) should I wait till coronachan is over, or is now unironically the best time
Hey Yas Forums
Unironically, if you live in an area that is warm all year round get a motorcycle/scooter. Save a fuck ton on gas.
Otherwise get something that is 2015 or newer with less than 60k miles
Why not ask the board, you know, DEDICATED to cars?
You can probably get a really good deal right now. I hear dealerships sales are down.
What is it
they know cars but don't know opportunity cost
What is that demon?
A white man by the looks of it, abusing a poor animal sexually.
Auto fatalities are down in the western world for the most part but that's due to safer cars. People are atrocious drivers, maybe worse than ever. I'd maybe drive a motorcycle in an urban area but not elsewhere.
Flying lemur
I got one a few days ago cuz I needed one. Went to a few spots, they said they were slow but they are as bullish as the stock market and didn't really do much for me even after I walked. So I would wait, I think things are going to be slow for a while.
I read that as auto fellatios at first
That thing is disgusting
If you can find someone who needs to panic sell then now is the best time
Otherwise, all in on ARPA and buy a luxury car new because it is pocket money to you after a 1.5 year wait
If you have a car and it doesn’t keep breaking down, don’t even worry about getting a car.
wait for the leases and subprimes repos to begin flooding the market
it's just begun and hasn't been long enough for their to be many repos yet.
Subprime buyers tend to buy shitty unreliable cars.
>Ally Financial Inc. said on Monday that about 25% of its auto-loan customers have taken advantage of its payment-deferral program.
yeah but their cars will flood the used auto market and drive all prices lower
Used to work at a dealership.
if you're not weak of heart you could probably negotiate a really mean deal on a car, something used. Or new and they'll have a lot of rebates and incentives to slap on it to make it good.
Car dealerships will stop at nothing to sell anyone who walks on the lot a car during this super-lull in business.
they'll try to make as much money as they can on you to compensate for the lack of business, but refuse the additional package bullshit and bring a calculator.
NEVER SIGN FIRST PENCIL.
When buying a car, keep the models generations in mind. The price difference between a 2017 camry and a 2018 camry aren’t big, but they are entirely different cars, and its much more than a facelift. Safety features added, totally new chassis, engine, etc.
Safety is underrated among men. Can’t enjoy your wealth or future wealth if you die driving to walmart in your 79 trans am. Also, having a safe up to date car makes you realize that when you ever go buy a classic you love you’re not buying your daily driver, but a toy.
the latest generation e class and the latest camry both did very well in crash tests.
I bet money a chink has eaten one of these once.
this, so many dodge darts or calibers or whatever are going to be available. All the ghetto cars
>Dodge Fart
You want a good used car for low miles?
Look for low mile-limit lease returns.
And service department loaner vehicles
the low limit lease returns have anywhere from a 10k-15k a year mileage allowance for a typical term of 3 years.
You can get a lightly broken-in car that is essentially brand new, with little damage or wear-and-tear because the owner didnt want to get penalized when it came to returning it.
Service department loaner vehicles are usually lent out to service department customers as loaner vehicles and they'll typically have a reduced price with the miles they've clocked.
Pick a brand you like, look up good dealerships, and be out for blood.
Because he's a dumb fucking tourist that doesn't know this website even has other boards.
It's you, judging from the dick.
I think its a baby platypus
What is the point in leasing cars? It costs just as much buying the damn thing. At least if you finance a car you can sell it when you want another one.
It's mostly a meme.
I worked at Chevy and we leased a shitload of Volts and Bolts, the argument being that it was ever-changing technology and you can keep yourself from getting locked into a rapidly depreciating technology-based vehicle.
Leasing a car is kinda a shit deal in my opinion however you spin it. You lock yourself into a car where you have to carefully monitor your mileage or you will be charged 25 cents per every mile over limit. so 250 bucks every 1000 miles, in some cases a month's lease payment.
Then the bank gets the car back if the leaser doesnt buy his car at the end of term, and it's sold again as a used vehicle.
Leases are the rentals of the car industry.
BUT it is significantly cheaper.
some customers would get a 10k a month 3 year lease deal for a Volt at like $167. we got mostly Indian customers who worked for google and facebook who basically competed against each other to get the biggest most cheapest goddamn deal imaginable. It was tough negotiations every day, like talking someone off a fucking ledge. I dont remember some of the deals we did, probably mental block for my own good.
What's wrong with that cat?
It just seems like it would smarter to buy an older used car than lease a brand new one. People rent because the credit requires and downpayments for a home are very expensive, but you can easily find decent cars for $10k or less.
I just don't understand people.
New car is more value.
Holy fuck you're retarded if you get a used car when/if you can afford new.
LOLOLOL
No
Modern cars are built to break quickly and modern car producers are constantly being sued for knowingly created poor and dangerous products now.
Never buy new.
Always buy cars that have been around at least 5 years so that you know what problems the car has and what to expect and if it's actually worth buying.
Please tell me you aren't advising that dumb bastard to LEASE a car?
If you aren't buying a car outright, buying new is stupid as balls. You will NEVER break even when selling a car unless its a classic. Buying a cheap used car saves $20,000+ dollars for something which is being used for pure utility.
You don't NEED a new car, you just want one. A used car with low miles will feel the same as a new one.
