I work for a financial services company in Bongland, we were told to go into the office but that we would be seated far apart. This turned out to be bullshit because half the phones aren't working so we got asked to share PC's/phones. My colleague complained saying we were being put at risk and they should either fix the phones or send us home to work remotely. Manger got pretty pissed and said 'everyone needs to be a bit flexible right now', basically we don't care fuck off. Told them they could get in legal trouble and been told I have a meeting with management on Monday.
They think we are all scared of losing the job and that they can bully us but the opposite is true. I have plenty of savings and I can't wait to give them a piece of my mind if they start threatening to fire me.

the reason for this, of course, was because they'd have had to pay british people minimum wage but the romanians would do it for next to nothing. But to avoid legal/social consequences they had to at least pretend to advertise it to natives. This shit is why brexit happened but nothing has changed.
