I wonder who devs are gonna trust for their oracles, Coinbase with millions of customers, billions in assets and FDIC insured.... or literal who Sergey Nazarov KYCing each node manually based on god knows what?
Both are literally equally centralized, and Coinbase most likely has better code considering they have better engineers.
It's just like we predicted, Chainlink has zero network effect, zero decentralization, zero first mover advantage. Any big company can just "make their own" and instantly destroy whatever pathetic adoption Chainlink had.
Reminder than some linkers actually believe Facebook, Google, etc would use Chainlink instead of making their own. KEK
This is proof that no one will use Chainlink centralized oracles, they'll just roll out their own.
You have no idea what Chainlink is. Literally Jeet tier FUD.
Coinbase API can be incorporated into Chainlink if desired.
It's nota bout trusting Chainlink vs Coinbase you complete FUCKING mong. If Coinbase API is absorbed into Chainlnks NETWORK then all of Coinbases reputation and trust is now part of Chainlink, along with hundreds to thousands of other companies and independents. Making DECENTRALISED network of trust. don't you fucking understand

>Broken English and plebbit spacing. Go back niggers
You guys can’t even make your own fud any more. You have misunderstand mildly bullish news.
Juan Evans
yes because coinbase, is going to offer weather data, flight info, esports results.
choke on a huge nigger dick faggot, they are just making 3rd party adoption eeasier, by provifing an endpoint on the blockchain, this is good for chainlink, as it will be easily integrated into chainlink, you fucking retard.
False. Coinbase is a competing (superior) oracle provider. They will never join Chainlink, because like you said, it would make Chainlink better, and they are obviously trying to beat Chainlink as the #1 centralized oracle provider.
I recommend you learn to code brainlet, you are outclassed and have no clue what you're talking about (as confirmed by Vitalik)
I think you're making a confusion here. Chainlink provides an oracle network, with tailored contracts (aggregation, colateral management, tumbler ...). It's cool that coinbase provides a price feed, chainlink will be able to integrate it
