As long as you are competent, it's easy to build relationships with other competent people you work with.
Those people have gotten me back into companies I complete "burned bridges" with as the middle managers like to accuse me of.

Never say you quit bro. That can cuck you from unemployment. Maybe not 2 weeks but at least let them know the situation. Your state unemployment will contact your prior employer because your prior employer pays your unemployment in a sense. All businesses pay unemployment insurance but if a company let's a lot of people go rapidly, their rates go up. But maybe fast food doesn't care about that. Still I'd say be safe.

2 weeks notice doesn't hurt. Consider the following -- only really fucks over your coworkers if you leave. Nobody at an upper level gives a fuck. So if your like who you work with, 2 weeks helps to not fuck them up

It can. I've fired people when they gave two weeks' notice.

If you've got performance problems, your manager is probably happy to see you go.
If he's been considering letting you go anyway, or if you've been written up or are on some kind of performance improvement probation, don't give notice.

Like I said I've had employees turn in a two week notice letter and I've responded with "actually don't bother coming in at all, you're done now."
If you do decide to give two weeks, be prepared for this possibility. It really depends on what kind of worker you are.

Employers hardly ever give you two weeks notice, typically they just fire you and you're shit out of lucky. Make sure to return the favor to "them" and just quit. References are a meme. If someone doesn't hire you because of your "references", they weren't going to hire you in the first place.
