If you haven’t attended your first validation, your flips won’t be submitted to the network and they’ll be discarded. Be on the client at exactly 13:30 UTC, a few minutes beforehand, and have your node synchronized at least 10 minutes beforehand. Short session is 4 or 5 flips and you’ll have a minute and 30 seconds to solve those, long session is 18 or so flips with 20 minutes to complete. At 14:00 UTC the network will decide consensus and you’ll see your results (you can easily access this by clicking on your rewards link in the client).
How is it collecting data when each participant is anonymous and there’s no KYC? The advertising usecase is shitty, practically everyone agrees on that. Advertisers use targeted ads that require PII. More should emerge with time with such a novel usecase. It can literally be adapted on the Ethereum blockchain as the identity layer by design, or it can be used for confirming human voting in other architectures (not bots). inb4 more 1 person behind more than 1 node, doesn’t change the fact it’s still proof of human and accomplished exactly that.
