>politico.com/news/2020/04/20/bank-small-business-funding-coronavirus-197372
>Banks warn that new small-business funding could evaporate in 2 days
>Congress is poised to add $300 billion to the loan program, but banks are handing out $50 billion per day.

wasn't this what happened in the great depression? when they couldn't give loans to small businesses? how fucked are we?

Attached: 165165896413.jpg (1919x1279, 381.18K)

>up $18k today
wish i could do this every day or at least every week god damn.

Will we bounce again before we go down for real?

OOOH. Do you start to realize that this shit is a ticking time bomb?

wish the economy and world around me would burn everyday, very based user.

Should I be holding through this new request of the low? It is prolly to late to sell.

Thoughts on GFL or ADW.A?
Thinking of putting 1k on each today

numbers are already worse than the great depression, market is just kept this high because of imaginary hope

Is it going to be a green day?
Futures slightly less red.

Don't worry user, believe in JPow. He'll pull out negative rates out of his ass to save us all.

> in the great depression loans that can turn into grants were given to small businesses by the government until funding ran out

No, that did not happen during the great depression.

Good morni- WAT

fuck this I'm getting out of every position at opening bell whether at a loss or not and just waiting for whatever happens to finally happen. Oil collapsing into the center of the universe has spooked the fuck out of me and is a sign of things to come.

Cringe

guys are niggers black?

wrong
the oil rocks refill fully every 500-100 years

>QE infinity and BEYOND

Only down less than 1% today, I thought it would be blood red today.

Lmao, gas goes. Oil doesn't.

The "strategic oil reserve" trump is talking about is literally a massive series of hole in salt rock. No insulation, coating or anything. Just a hole in the ground where they dump that shit. It was built by drilling a hole and flooding the salt rock with water until salts dissolve.

Pic related, that is the strategic reserve.

KO missed earnings. Normally that means cheapies for me to scoop up, but in clown world...

I can't believe that America will finally end bros.

NGMI

do i buy more gush hodl it or sell it idk what to do

i mean, wtf am i supposed to do about it? im just a regular citizen, the government doesn't care what i think, JPM doesn't care what i think. they're going to do whatever it is they will do, and we'll just have to deal with the consequences. it sucks, but that's reality. at least im ahead of the game by actually having a good amount of savings (6 figures) and taking advantage of all of the volatility by day trading for profit. im way ahead of most people, as are probably a lot of you as well.

it's like the house is on fire in the desert. there's no fire department, there's no water, all i can really do is watch the house burn after i get my personal belongings out of it as quickly as i can.

I imagined huge tanks or something but it really is just holes in the ground, crazy.

>shes wearing a tinfoil hat, like you

How do people only now realise this is going to be the Great Depression on steroids? This was going to happen even before Corona as we never moved past the crisis of '08. It's now just much much worse and nobody prepared for this. At least the fed upped the interest right before because they knew it was coming. The ECB did no such thing and got caught with the hands bound on the back.

We are fucked.

YES

>thestreet.com/etffocus/trade-ideas/leveraged-oil-etfs-gush-drip-at-risk-of-closing-in-crude-oil-crash
>When the VIX spiked north of 80 earlier in March, several leveraged ETFs and ETNs either reduced their leverage exposure or closed shop altogether.
>ETFs and ETNs, which are more likely to be impacted since they tend to have language built into their contracts about triggers that could force a redemption, have seen the number of closures skyrocket as liquidity has dried up and losses in some products have exceeded 90%.
>The Direxion Daily S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production Bull 2X Shares (GUSH) and the Direxion Daily S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production Bear 2X Shares (DRIP) are over-exposed to the worst areas of the market right now. They've already reduced their exposure to the oil space from +/- 300% to +/- 200% in response to the lack of liquidity affecting the funds' ability to cost-effectively establish the mandated leverage.
>While it's mostly ETNs that are at risk of closing in a highly volatile environment, it wouldn't be unprecedented for ETFs to shut down as well. We've already seen both the ProShares UltraPro 3X Crude Oil ETF (OILU) and the ProShares UltraPro 3X Short Crude Oil ETF (OILD) close earlier this year.
>The United States Oil Fund (USO), the largest oil-related ETF, announced that it will change its structure in order to target later-dated crude derivatives contracts. In markets, such as these, wild swings in price can also lead to wild swings in assets, something that fund managers may have difficulty managing in volatile times.
>So we're seeing not just volatility in the price of crude, but the current environment putting a lot of strain on the structural integrity of several of these products. As the structure breaks down, fund companies may be forced to consider shutting these products down if they can't effectively accomplish their objectives.

WHATS A GOOD BUY ON OPEN

Went all cash or did you also get some gold?

>buy
Short the domestic market
You know you want to

SDOW

So yes to anyone wondering. They are:
>pumping oil from ground
>selling it to US government
>government then puts it back under ground to be pumped back up again

the 5G is amplified by the tinfoil
tinfoil socks are the only thing that can keep us safe now

i don't think we're fucked persay, things are a lot different now compared to the world in the 1920's, technology is a major factor. i just think things are in for a major change, which is honestly probably a good thing because things have been fucked up for quite a while i think you'd agree. the times they are a-changin'.

Every time.

It's going to be global again too. Which countries do you think will be least hurt by this user? I think china is one since they have industry + their own population to fuel it. Maybe also India.

i got SDOW yesterday, on open im thining SPXS

They couldn't print gold during the great depression.

do you have this pictures but with urls instead

Just a reminder, the Senate is convening at 4PM to pass another stimulus bill, exit short positions today at close buy back tomorrow by 1030am est.

>concrete enema

Hmm, which will bounce back higher first, DIS stock or KO stock? $5600 investment money and making back my 800 loss rides on the outcome. (I already have both so it don't mater which however the sooner I make back 800 the happier I'll be.)

Anyone have coca colas earnings call?

>he doesn't know

cash. only reason i'd buy gold is if it were just my country (US) that was fucked and i could plan to just move to another country in the worst case scenario. this shit is global, gold seems pointless to me. i mean honestly you really think you're going to be trading with people with gold bars or something? it's ridiculous the post-apocalyptic ideas people have. if society truly collapsed, i guarantee if you have a bunch of gold someone is going to kill you for it. much better to bet on society pulling through this, and i believe it will. big changes will occur and hopefully the powers that be will learn from this (I HOPE), but, i still don't think the world is ending or anything like that.

this is basically a storm you want to wait out. think of where we'll be 2-3 years from now, 5 years from now, 10 years from now. not where we're at right now.

Anyone from mainland europe here? What is the best broker if I want to get into US stocks?

>now both this guy and the guy he replied to have 2 posts by this ID

oh fuck... those in glass houses, amirite?

I agree. This can change a lot in this world and perhaps for the better. But the road there is going to be difficult. You gotta break eggs to make an ommelet. I personally am not looking forward to the general pessimism of normies the coming years though.

Difficult to say. I don't think China will do as well as we think. They can fake it for a long time even for their own populace but they will also need to face the fact that their economy is unsustainable in the new paradigm.

>missed earnings
>up premarket

Rate my portfolio, lads. Do I buy and hold forever or sell now and wait a bit. My plan was to get those 4 stocks to 5k each before buying anything else.
