I think the majority of this is retail traders thinking that they're buying the dip. Maybe they're right, maybe they're wrong, but a lot of these upstream E&P companies who divested their traditional assets (like Marathon) won't exist by July 4th. Be careful buying anything that isn't a major.

That's why you ALWAYS hold some money in cash. Never go all in, as it can always drop further, which is when you buy more. If oil goes up from here on out, I win. if it drops huge from here, I buy in more, and then wait until it goes up again. You literally cannot not make money doing this right now with oil.
