LOL and what’s to stop so called “reputable” dealers from doing the same thing? They know their clients are dumb af since they don’t directly buy from mints or refiners. Gold coins and bars are easily faked and you need to either cut it to see if it’s real or use a $25k spectrometer laser gun to check if it’s legit. They know you can’t afford that shit or dare to cut into your gold pieces so they sell you fakes! Congrats you retards have fake gold.
come on, if buying canadian gold is like going into a fine italian restaurant and asking to eat shit, buying chinese gold is asking the servant to add rats plus the fluid on the bottom of their trash dumpster
Robert Lee
The gold haters are really coming out of the woodworks.
>Gold-plated tungsten tungsten doesn't exactly have golds specific weight but you can add a heavier metal to the mix like osmium which is still a lot cheaper than gold and you only need very little.
Colton Wilson
He pulled that out of his ass, but I'll bet the majority of Boomers unknowingly have fake hold
Justin Lewis
That's the hilarious part. Nobody is entirely sure exactly how much of the bullion on the market is real, and how much is plated tungsten while the real stuff is secretly sitting in a Beijing vault
It's just staggering to think what you could do if you were, say, the state bank of a deeply dishonest government
Eli Bailey
it's funny because specific speed of sound tests are cheap and widely available at metal traders. there is no way to spoof them with current technology and in the rough dimensions of a genuine gold piece.
Luke Morris
Yes most gold in circulation is fake if fake gold is going for a few bucks lolHow much you reckon the seller has of fake double eagles? I bet a few million. And even grading companies get duped lol
Isaac Gutierrez
i think it's more likely the bank got that deposited by a person who unknowingly bought a fake. they should check that shit out properly but thick gold plating is not caught by x-ray which only penetrates a few microns into gold and like i said specific weight tests are easily fooled with composite inserts. ultrasound tests however can not be fooled.
Ping tests arent conclusive! Even fake gold krugerrands can pass them. And ping tests only real are useful for gold krugers or junk silver.
Aaron Lopez
the chink copies do not have the fine details of areal mint nor do they have the modern security features like laser etched holographic marks.
which is why i always found that buying old used looking coins the most idiotic thing ever. buy the latest bullion. chink fakes will lag behind many years always.
Levi Foster
not ping tests no ultrasound specific speed of sound tests. and they detect inserts not metal composition metal composition can be accurate read by ir or xrf down to which mint made the gold in which year.
Jason Smith
>2017 >wafer Wow its nothing
Jonathan Reyes
Hahah are you for real? The chinks have already flooded the market with the laser etched privy mark Maple Leaf Coins and have copied the counterfeit radial lines very good. I’d guarantee you that fake chink Gold Coins get perfect grades at grading companies then the legit ones. Heck most grading companies unknowingly grade fake coins. LOL
Alexander Gutierrez
you're not gonna tell me that if you order your gold from the fucking National Mint of Austria they're gonna give you gold plated tungsten inside a certificate airtight case. To me this just sounds like fudding
James Anderson
youtube.com/watch?v=rh0Mcagio5Q the newer devices are simpler and cheaper they basically give you a very accurate thickness value for the gold. if the thickness they give doesn't match the pieces it's a forgery. that simple. also inserts are reflective medium barriers. they always give you much less depth than a solid gold piece.
Robert Phillips
user, he's literally FUD-posting. If Jesus himself started posting in this thread to tell him exactly how he was wrong he wouldn't care. Because he's not trying to be right, or to have the best information. He is here to muddy the waters and make people hesitate to buy PMs. There are 5 such threads up last time I looked.
Those machines cost $25k + and the more expensive literal giant printer tier machines are over $200k. The average retard on biz buys from eBay or “reputable” dealers like apmex even though such dealers can easily throw in a fake to your order and you’d be known the wiser.
>The chinks have already flooded the market with the laser etched privy mark Maple Leaf Coins and have copied the counterfeit radial lines very good. nope at least the last time i was on the market for gold they were not even close to that precision. i honestly don't know what they are up to recently but from the previous trends i strongly doubt they can make real good fakes of recent bullion.
Isaac Long
There are 5 threads up going full FUD on PMs. They are getting antsy about people buying whats left over the weekend.
Christian Torres
>i think it's more likely the bank got that deposited by a person who unknowingly bought a fake.
I'm less concerned about Johnny Boomer and a fake Krugerrand and more about China buying bullion, vaulting it, and spitting god knows how many thousand tons of plated bullshit out into the market knowing full well nobody will ever check it.
there are cheaper ones widely available for metal traders now. the point is it's scientifically impossible to fool ultrasound tests. it's possible to fool every other test but not that. and probably you can't fool mri either but that's prohibitively expensive and possibly dangerous.
Yes you can buy directly from mints or refiners. That’s what smart people not retards that buy from eBay or (((reputable))) dealers since they know you don’t have the $25k spectrometer to test your gold.
Aaron Cox
i really don't give a fuck about buying gold i'm all about selling gold now. i bought in 2013 i'm unloading now.
Thomas Nguyen
Honestly these might be a good buy for the apocalypse. You could scam so many autists with them
Adam Smith
>you're not gonna tell me that if you order your gold from the fucking National Mint of Austria they're gonna give you gold plated tungsten inside a certificate airtight case. To me this just sounds like fudding
I don't think that at all. I'm more worried about what's going to happen to the spot price of gold once it turns out, as I suspect, that Winnie's been swapping out gold for tungsten on a national-reserve scale
i mean just imagine putting a cheap silver fake with steel insert into an mri... jesus fucking christ.
Andrew Green
What cheaper ones are you referring to? The ones that cost $1k are garbage and give false positive all the time. Theirs a site where I guy tested a literal ingot of copper and it checked out as pure .9999 silver lol
i don't know what kind of garbage you are talking about the good tests simply tell you the depth in gold or silver. it the reading is not accurate to the pieces specification publicly available and known by heart by every merchant it's a fake.
Carson Murphy
how hard is it to sell? where do you find b uyers, is the price good, what's the general process and how long does it take? the selling part always seemed like a pain to me compared to bitcoin. if i ever bought gold maybe i'd just hoard it and not sell.
>how hard is it to sell? very hard nobody wants to buy at these prices altho they are all sold out. they give bullshit excuses like the virus dealers say only buy very large amounts or none.
Kayden Price
Sigma testers are total garbage and give false positives These ones
Brayden Gonzalez
i can tell from the pic that holographic leaf mark is not right. i got a few silver maples. i know how they are detailed. you won't fool metal dealers visual exam with that but i admit that looks laser etched.
Nicholas Howard
those ones that are telling you metal composite use xrf or ir. not reliable as simple plating or drilled inserting fools them.
Jaxson Johnson
Actually it’s perfect, it’s a near perfect copy from China. Gold Eagles and other Coins are even more easily faked to perfection.
Michael Jenkins
they can be used to determine if the impurities and the general purity match a specific mint tho... some forgeries can fuck that up.
