I currently have close to 400k and in my mid to late 20s but everyday I just work come home and sleep, I no longer find enjoyment in video games or anime but i do occasionally watch an anime or two before dropping it halfway and never finishing it, whats wrong with me.

bro 400k is nothing you see people on here and reddit with millions, i have friends who are PMs in IT/ENG with way more than me.
Maybe but even if i retire i dont know what i would do, everyday i just feel like laying in bed desu
previously had 2 and saw some prostitutes as well but like desu i didnt really enjoy it, it felt more like a chore than anything so i dropped them
???
just send me 300k so you can feel motivated again
>bro 400k is nothing you see people on here and reddit with millions, i have friends who are PMs in IT/ENG with way more than me.
It is more money than 99% of the world will ever have. Get some perspective or buy enough blow and hookers to get your head out of your rectum.
Just remember, OP: the first 100k is the hardest. The road ahead of you to get 1 or 2m isn't as long as it seems.
Invest that shit, buy some good land, or have the best 3 or 4 years of your life
>bro 400k is nothing you see people on here and reddit with millions, i have friends who are PMs in IT/ENG with way more than me.
Yeah but that doesn’t mean you’re not bragging about it anyway you faggot
full of bullshit
how the hell do you make 1m from 100k?
did you ever really think work and money would fill you with self worth? Do you even maslow’s hierarchy of needs? Dude just kill yourself its not gonna get any better obviously.
Sounds like SWE money, are you one?
How much do you get paid?
>Bwaaaaa I'm set for life bar some huge fuckup but am bored with my boring life.
At least you could fix your teeth and shrug it off.
Here's my forecast I set up post-graduation, now hitting the bottom few cells. About 65% savings rate, salary barely has to crack $100k (IT or Sales, job hop two or three times obviously).
Basically live cheaply (relative to your area), ride the Fed's inflation of the market, and put in a decade of work.
Welcome to depression. After an amount (much less than you have), money becomes irrelevant to happiness. You can continue to pursue it, and feel the buzz of success, but there will never be a time/amount when you are entirely fulfilled.
Happiness must come from within. It is about perspective and living well.
You sound burned out user, take a vacation somewhere nice. get fucked up, fuck someone, fucking enjoy life fren.
i was never motivated by money, I just did what others told me to do, go to school, get a "good job" and save money and buy shit.
who cares about some poor third world people im talking about people in my circle in my country
I feel like even when i hit 1/2M I will feel just as empty. I dont find joy in anything I do. I dont even know when i last felt like i had any true happiness not derived from buying consumer shit
Im renting a cheap apartment staying away from the real estate meme
i have it invested in spy/qqq/upro/tmf
if you think 400k is bragging/fuck you money you've got more problems irl.
not at the point of kms but just life is so boring and empty, i did what everyone told me to do but i dont feel the joy i once did
Snr Manager at a def contractor working on land systems. About 112 last year post tax but i live in a low tax country.
aesthetics arent my thing i guess , i keep my head low and do my work dont really socialize or anything

>About 112 last year post tax but i live in a low tax country.

singapore
>I feel like even when i hit 1/2M I will feel just as empty. I dont find joy in anything I do. I dont even know when i last felt like i had any true happiness not derived from buying consumer shit
Well enough money for retirement buys a lot of freedom. If that's not a terminal value, even at your level it gives you a little freedom that lets you be more flexible about jobs or even careers.
The 50 hours a week you spend working or commuting are a huge chunk of waking time, so making sure they involve something you can tolerate in a city you enjoy goes a long way towards improving your overall happiness.
>Snr Manager at a def contractor working on land systems.
Do you enjoy your work? Certain aspects of it, perhaps? Or certain people you work with?
If you come home super drained so all you can do is sleep, consider taking a week or two of vacation. Turn off the phone, no work emails. See how you instinctively fill the time.
Nice, my dream country. Are you local or expat?
It's boring shit desu all i do is call and yell at sub cons and check worksites occasionally to check on maintenance/implementation or the thing i drag the most is making presentations for dir level or oversight. It pays super well but man like this shit is so boring anyone would fall asleep doing it. I dont really talk to my team much outside of work related stuff and i feel like i have no friends at the company. I normally just eat alone in my office lmao
local, you shouldnt come here desu life is soul sucking imo
God I'm broke with only 5k in the bank but your situation makes me feel so much better about my life. The chicken or the egg i guess.
Well you can probably switch to consulting for extra challenge and variability. You could also work on a totally separate side hustle or hobby after work.
Were there any classes or clubs you were fond of in school? Something you'd have an inclination towards other than bland media consumption?
> read bible
> get gf
Fixed
Not like I can afford to even if I wanted kek. Why is it so bad to live there? Low taxes, no crime, good weather, good pay. After corona is gone you can always travel around in SEA if you want some more "action".
You realized you're part of a heartless machine that can destroy you on a whim. You realize money is just a means to an end, beyond that it means nothing.
Close your eyes, clear your mind then ask yourself "what do I want?". If you don't find answer try again a little later.
Perhaps learn an instrument or a new language. Our greatest strength is our brains, our brains thrive on learning. If you give your brain a goal and accomplish it you will find happiness in the process.
>how does one find true happiness i even took the meme drugs the psych gave me but i gave up after a few months.
I don't think true happiness exists. Regardless of circumstances, life will always have up and downs.
Though happiness can be achieved by living well for yourself and for others. Doing things like helping your community, raising a family, creating, accomplishing, giving, volunteering, etc. These all result in little joys that together amount to happiness.
consulting isnt a big niche here esp in def contracting because a lot of the govt def jobs are passed around to govt-linked firms like ST group and i dont have much field exp since i was promoted kinda fast desu. No clubs in uni honestly only courses i took were phy, math, com sci related the big stem meme
free thinker i did have 2 gfs before but it was more a chore than anything
because nothing here is "fun" people including myself are soulless and just normie shits. Weather is perma hot btw
work & cut your living expense you can easily 5x that in a year
If you get a job here u can get a company to sponsor your work visa
