can someone tell me why oilniggers are cocky when we're crabbing around $20?

SSO (DBPG for euroanons) is a 2x leveraged ETF based on the S&P 500 and it is one of the few leveraged ETFs that existed before the Great Financial Crisis of 2008. Had you bought SSO (DBPG) at the literal top of the market before the recession in October 2007, as of this moment, you would have gains of 176%. Had you bought the underlying SPY on the same day you would have gains of 98%. So had you bought the leveraged ETF, even at the worst possible time, you still would have ended up with almost double the gains today. Remember this the next time somebody throws shade on leveraged ETFs because of volatility decay. Buy the index based leveraged ETFs and win. Simple as that. And start buying now. Coronavirus could be as bad as the GFC and if you start buying in now with a little money and buy in more later as the prices drop you will still come out much better in the long run than buying SPY or worse, doing nothing at all. I'm buying and I'll be here when this thing is over to brag about my gains. Do not be afraid. We will get through this and this is your opportunity. Join me and get rich. >nb4 >we
nah. I hate to say it but I think the big boys are relying on FOMO during open trading hours tomorrow for people to jump in and they will rug pull.
They might (this is a baseless guess) rely on the weekend for bullshit news to blame the rugpull on during Monday.

>Work in oil >Pretty much getting fired shortly, company just announced cuts at analyst call today Thank god i got spy calls so i can still make it in this market.
Massive supply is coming offline (or bankrupted) but demand will increase from these levels (30 year lows). This is the beginning of the new oil bull for whoever survives

>Wtf was that? Google Gilead Remdesivir

it's too late brother you might want to rob a bank to make up for the gains you could have had

>sheer difference in the rate of change between american and canadian stocks. USA does have robust and diverse economy. Ultimately, if Canada has craters and investor's question Canada's ability to pay its debts, i think you will see Canada sell off some crown and federal agencies. >Sauce? They're fucking it up because it's too good for the slaves of this marvelous chinese prison aren't they? it is too good to be true, as far as the govt sees it. It's more of a long term critical outlook of the TFSA. With the increasing contribution room, compound growth for millenials and zoomers in the next 20yrs. the gov't (in need of revenue) will look at the juicy $'s in Canadians TFSA's. A new rule they may implement would be, for example. first $5k withdrawn is tax free but anything over has to be included as income. Currently, TFSA withdrawals do not affect your ability to get gov't benefits(Oas, GIS etc) due to withdrawals not being counted as income.

Pull out tomorrow ASAP. Aftermarket and futures already losing steam. Huge sell volumes in aftermarket.
