Staking and the competition are slightly different. You can always stake at any time by delegating to a validator node from suter's wallet. This returns roughly 60% a year for now (rate is deflationary). The competition is just a thing going on right now and only means that a node wins for the day if they get the most new delegates that day.
What were you referring to when you meant staking in wallet? Sorry. New to this.

They can be used as a plug and play layer 2 protocol for ANY coin. It will be like Link partnering with every one to provide decentralized oracle solutions. The implications of this are pretty huge because everything is currently public on the blockchain which is not what you want for DeFi. Imagine LINK ETH SNX the list goes on, using suter as a 2nd layer privacy solution.

1. The competition will give a daily reward of 2,000,000 SUTER within 30 days; 2. All validator nodes will be ranked daily according to the quantity of increased SUTER delegated to them, and if the node is ranked No. 1, they must gain equal to or more than 200,000 votes. This node will be the winner in that day; 3. If the node ranked No. 1 wins less than 200,000 votes, no node will be the winner in that day, and all votes delegated to each nodes will not be passed to the next day; 4. The rewarded SUTER will be provided by Suterusu foundation; 5. The winner validator node per each day will share 400,000 SUTER, and all voters delegated to the winner will share remaining 1,600,000 SUTER, based on the quantity of their votes; 6. The rewarded SUTER will be distributed to all winning accounts, and voter and then automatically delegated to the winner validator node the next day; 7. Game period: 20:00 to 20:00 next day, UTC+8, March 24th to April 22nd.

i think it shares it by total amount of votes so if you delegate 0,5% of the total you get that out of the reward. might be wrong though, any suter Samurai be nice enough to clear this shit up?

The second part of the sentence clearly states that all delgators will share 1.6 mil suter proportional to their delegation amount. If some saudi shitskin delegates 50mil and you'd have to put in the same amount to get half of the reward.
