Initially, I'd like to be in the center of a very large city, at least until I get married. From there, I want to move somewhere a lot quieter with my family. Plus as a developer, I'm going to need to be in a big, tech-focused city until I can get one of my many side projects off the ground and producing enough income that it's a viable career option to switch to my own business fulltime, which is my ultimate goal.

I have lived West Coast, Rockies and Midwest. You are not going to find the perfect spot. Take white over weather, winter is actually pretty nice when you accept it. I’d look at SE Minn SW Wisconsin.
You would be very close to some beautiful nature, its mostly white, economy is solid. You would have cold winters though.
I would also recommend Eastern WA, Eastern OR, Idaho, Wyoming. My biggest fear there though is California shitlibs moving in, fucking it all up and driving up the prices.
Eastern TENN, Western Carolinas is also not bad, but you will have to deal with blacks.
