I had a blast in high school, college partying it up, did the career thing until 09 when I got laid off. To thrive you need to be financially resilient and self sustaining with your closest family and your spouse. If smart investments are made now and you are patient then you will be able to thrive in the future while others work to live and maintain subsistence level their entire lives.
