Silverpill me on the international financier: how does he manipulate the metals?
Lincoln Martin
>buy future contracts on paper for silver you dont physically have >sell into the market creating the appearance of "metal" being dumped >buy physical metal on the cheap >repeat >now you have a stockpile of physical to cover shorts >buy back contracts for less than you sold >never lose on the trade for a decade going
What is y’alls speculation about 2020 minted coins. It’s going to be a low production year right?
Samuel Thomas
I want to buy silver for the first time despite the high premiums. Is the consensus to wait or go for it? My thinking is that it won't matter once we moon but maybe I am being naive?
I didnt buy silver on March 16, I assumed the price would drop further as the consequences of the pandemic would increase. Then it got back up, thinking to myself this is where a lot of opportunists start buying. I thought it was only inevitable that the price would go down even more than March 16 during the pandemic as the worst it yet to come. Does anyone agree with this hypothesis, or should I stop waiting and order silver now before the price starts going up more and more?
Julian Roberts
I’m bullion has generic silver rounds in stock for a little over $18.50. Hinestly that isn’t a bad deal. Free shipping on all orders over $99
Jonathan Anderson
I think the price is going up. All the vendors just saw that people will pay premiums to obtain physical metal
Easton Harris
JM Bullion has Batboi in stock.
Aaron Phillips
Should I order 50 maple leafs?
Thomas Perry
That’s up to you. Maples are very liquid. Some people on here don’t like them, but they are the minority
Julian Robinson
I've seen way nicer coins, but maples are reliable, cheap, easy to trade and all the rest is out of stock. For example I could buy 50 kangaroos or american eagles, for the same weight at a 75 euro price difference. Then the question is, would I throw away 75 euro for a nice looking coin? Yes, but aesthetics isn't the reason I'm interested in silver. So, logic rules that I go for stinky maples, and not shiny eagle jews.
Jonathan Baker
Pic related. The only advantage is that the eagles are from 2020 and the maples are random. Maybe I am vain enough to go for eagles.
What price did you buy them? Or did you find them in a cave behind a warerfall
Nicholas Ortiz
I got a few numismatics the other day but feel like i really got ripped off when i looked up the actual material value of said coins + saw how tiny they were IRL
Paid 18 bucks in total for 4 coins, i think i'll return them again though and buy another proper ounce with that money

Anyone have any info about Aluminum? I hear there may be some switching from plastic to aluminum in the future.
you dont. The financier profits. Been in silver for 15 years, havent made much on it. I just made a little recently by taking a small leveraged position at 12 and exited yesterday at 14.9
I am going to move big into silver when it makes a higher high. That would be 19 dollar today. but it might not see 19 just peak at 17 go down again, not see 17 again peak at 16 and go down again not see 15 but peak at 13 and go down again... Wait till it makes a higher high. Or sub 10 dollar. Sub 10 dollar is too cheap to ignore.
Adam Richardson
I posted this in the other silver thread but I think you fucks would enjoy this too.
I've been buying Cull silver coinage in bulk like pic related and then sell it and other US coinage/collectibles in “grab bags” on eBay and Amazon.
I can stuff each $50 bag with $25 worth of product and people will still come back for more. Time after time. It’s honestly ridiculous.
Basically, I buy old silver coins in bulk at cull rates, then search the bag for anything valuable, take anything of XF/AU quality out and sleeve it, and then pack the rest in grab bags.
Pic related still all needs to be packed. Everything else I have is in bags like the one in pic related to the right of the coins. All of that said, if anyone knows local dealers that have a lot of junk silver they can't sell I WILL BUY IT.
In what applications i wonder?? really been wanting the do a thread on base metals sometime
Jace Johnson
And I just want to add no other fucking coin shop has silver so if you are in Dallas or near it, Plano has a store called Dingers. Only place that has silver right now
Wyatt King
Thanks for the tip im in ft worth
Hunter Bennett
No problem, I would just call ahead if you are going to make the drive. He is probably the coolest guy that owns a coin shop and very redpilled. He doesn't really ever take advantage of anyone from what I have seen and experience.
Fucking hell, Yas Forums. The damn boomer was just a fat bastard that dumped a giant cloth of silver that exploded over the huge counter there. I have never seen so much silver in all my life accumulated. That bastard must of been stacking all his life. Who the hell sells now?
Owen Parker
aluminum will never be worth much anymore due to the massive quantities that can be produced at one time. Aluminum smelters work in the hundreds of tonnes per day, either recycling it or converting it from bauxite.
Jordan Peterson
Jewed hard. .715 is the constant for a junk silver dollar to ozt calculation.
Since $2.50 FV is known, multiply by the junk constant above: 2.50 * .715 = 1.7875
Thus, you bought 1.7875ozt of silver for $40
We can then calculate your ouce cost by dividing what you paid for the weight you received: 40 / 1.7875 = 22.377622
We then round the result to find out what you paid: $22.38 an ounce.
Those kinds of premiums on junk/Constitutional silver is outrageous.
Chase Price
if anything we should be looking more at coppers future. We used tens of thousands of tonnes of copper a year, about half of that is recycled from old tech or infrastructure, however we're going to be needing more and more copper for "green" energy projects and consumer goods, but only 14 new mines have opened to meet demand. Copper will become one of the metals we outstrip production on within 10 years.
First thing's first, get some flips. Second, zero key dates so you got jewed. Can you post the reverses so I can see if you at least made it out with an S or something?
Brayden Cook
>sadly still less than what I have been paying online He did buy it for over spot though from what I witnessed.
Joseph Morales
>outstrip production on within 10 years Damn. Thats super bullish Any thoughts on nickel? Badass kyle bass gots idk like over a million dollars in face value of physical nickels. Just this last year they got debased also. They sound real tinny now >everyone should follow Kyle Bass and his work exposing the dirrty commies running china
Charles Reyes
Sold 1/4 my paper gold today at 1690. Feeling ok about it. Was up 31% wanted some profit.
Lucas Gonzalez
Nickel is a bit hard to say. There are massive stockpiles of physical ore yet to be processed in both russia and china. They mine massive amounts of ore extra, than shut down for the winter months because its too hard on the equipment. The world isnt running low on Nickel any time soon either, Norilsk thinks they have another 100 million tonnes to go through before they are done.
Jason Hernandez
Consider buying higher weight bars. I got a kilo today and premium was ~34%. Not great but less than rounds. Also got more gold
Noah Campbell
Any zinc guys here? I'm I've limped into a few zinc mines? Any info? Supply has been decling for awhile
Mason White
That's what it's going for right now user about 16x FV
Julian Hall
Back in the 50s-80s it was the modern application for lightweight firearms before Polymer took over. It still gets used in some firearm mfg but is heavy now compared to polymer
Hunter Nelson
_ _ _ rats
thanks for the info pan man
Jaxon Collins
zinc is a byproduct metal from most major copper, silver, gold mines. The supply has been dropping not because there is less metal, its because there is too much of it at the moment. The chinese don't need as much so output has decreased over the last two years. Silver Tip and a few other mines in northern BC / Yukon will be stepping up to meet demand if zinc stockpiles drop.
Julian Green
Makes sense, thanks
Camden Allen
No S sadly Why did the seller go "ooh you should go for the barber and standing liberty"? Are those coins harder to find? Or is he just bullshitting me?
Something about plastic used for single use water bottles. Something about California banning plastic for this use. Still need to look into it.
Isaiah Clark
You fags think 5oz silver coins/bars is a good buy or will it be hard to trade? I only have 1oz coins at the moment.
Parker White
Just make stacks of 5 coins.
Jaxson Stewart
Depends on how much you're trading. You can always buy more than you need and barter it as well. Even then, 1oz may be too much, hence junk silver/fractional for smaller or novelty items. Hypothetically speaking.
