An user in 2018 told me “the only problem you’re going to have is that you didn’t buy more”. Fuck was he right. I was one of the stubborn ones who either fell for the surface level FUD or just wrote it off as a scam likely every other brainlet...that was at $0.2. It’s looking more and more likely like this will haunt me for the rest of my life.

This is what I don't get about ChainLink. If it is so blockchain agnostic and can do all these wonderful things, what prevents a big bank from copy pasting the source code and start using it with cheaper tokens? Why would they ever pay up and invest so much money in the already squatted ChainLink? They know better than just throwing away their money to NEETs.

Why doesn’t anyone copy BTC? Why doesn’t anyone copy ETH? Both are open source and can be “copy pasted” like you said. Do you know what a network effect is user? Do you know how paramount a network effect is for underlying security? You can copy a source code but you can’t copy network participants, a network is only as secure as the number and reputation of said participants increases. Enterprises could copy the code and establish it all “back door” behind the scenes, but then you undermine the entire premise of using a blockchain because you’re essentially dealing with a legacy data silo. There’s a reason Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Intel, TaoBao, Google, among others have put their name behind LINK as opposed to stating they will create their own mechanism, it’s not that feasible at this state. Chainlink is 6 years ahead of the oracle problem, with that comes a massive snowball effect of network effects that provide inherent security guarantees.
