I recently purchased $2500 of gold and silver to hedge my bets against whatever god forsake future we are heading into. I wanted to know if it is worth getting a safe for and which would you recommend?
My current safe is a shoebox.

I don’t think I would cuz that’s an easy target. You can easily hide gold somewhere where nobody would ever look. I’m thinking of burying my 100 ouncer of silver away from my other silver

Safes are a meme. No safe is really safe. The safes are there to delay the robber, not to stop him from taking your stuff.
The safest way is to store your stack somewhere no one would bother to look. Like in the trash bin.

My biggest concern wouldn’t be people robbing the gold, it would be trying to protect it from a fire. You don’t want your gold melting. Get a fireproof safe that’s too heavy for someone to easily carry away

I wouldnt bother just Hide it in unusual places. Bury it somewhere. having a dummy safe is a good idea though. Put only put a small amount of your holdings there
